Article Ortaokullarda istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarına ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi(Elektronik Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi (elektronik), 2018) Özdaş, Faysal; Akpınar, BurhanUndesirable student behaviours are one of the main factors that prevent effective classroom management and teachers’ works. These behaviours prevent both student learning and formation and maintenance of effective learning-teaching environment by teacher. The aim of this research is to identify frequency of undesirable student behaviours according to teacher’s views. Research is in style of the descriptive scanning model. Population of the research is constituted by 1450 teachers from 56 schools in Batman in 2012-2013 academic year. The sample of the research is constituted by 590 teachers from 34 schools. The scale used in this research is developed by researcher. The frequency of undesirable student behaviours in middle schools is “sometimes” for “interpersonal relations” and “classroom behaviours”, and “rarely” for “harming behaviour”. Results show significant difference in teachers’ views depending on gender, grade and school but there is no significant difference depending on branch. In order to decrease frequency of undesirable student behaviours, experts should train school administration, teachers, students and parents, besides there should be more opportunities for social, sport and extracurricular activities.Other Serbest etkinlikler dersinin etkililiğine ilişkin öğretmen görüşleri: Nitel bir çalışma(2013) Mehmet Nuri Gömleksiz; Faysal ÖzdaşBu çalışmanın amacı, Serbest Etkinlikler dersinin etkililiğinin değerlendirilmesine ilişkin 4 ve 5. sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerini almaktır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada durum çalışması deseni dikkate alınmıştır. Örneklem seçiminde kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan bir görüşme formuyla toplanmıştır. Bu formda, öğretmenlerin Serbest Etkinlikler dersinin değerlendirilmesine ilişkin görüşlerini belirleyecek şekilde yarı yapılandırılmış beş soruya yer verilmiştir. Görüşlerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmış ve bu görüşler frekans tekniği ile temalar altında toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenler, Serbest Etkinlikler dersinin öğrencilerin sosyalleşmesine katkı sağladığını, okula bağlılıklarını arttırdığını ve çalışma becerilerini olumlu yönde etkilediğini belirtmişlerdir. This case may threaten the goals and the safety of schools, and make classroom management difficult. The aim of this study is to examine the frequency of unwanted students behaviors in terms of some personal variables of teachers. The sample of the study consists of 316 secondary school teachers who worked in Batman central district in 2013. As a data collection tool, "Frequency Scale of Unwanted Student Behaviours", which was developed by [11] was utilized. The data were analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 18.0. According to the analysis results, considering the gender, there is difference between teachers' views on regarding the frequency of unwanted student behaviours in the dimension of " out-of-class behaviours". This difference is in female teachers favour. When compared to male teachers, female teachers indicates more that unwanted student behaviours occur. Considering the socio-economic variable, there is significant difference between upper-level and lower-level, and medium-level and lower-level in the dimensions of "interpersonal relationship" and "out-of-class behaviours". This difference is in the favour of lower-level in both dimensions. As for the "interpersonal relationship", there is difference between upper-level and lower-level in this dimension. All Rights Reserved.Article Öğrenci Devamsızlıklarının Eğitim Denetmenlerinin Görüşlerine Göre Değerlendirilmesi(2013) Özdaş, Faysal; Gömleksiz, Mehmet Nuri…Article A Thematic-based Meta Analytic Study Regarding the Effect of Creativity on Academic Success and Learning Retention(Redfame Publishing, 2017) Özdaş, FaysalThis thematic-based meta-analytic study aims to examine the effect of creativity on the academic success and learning retention scores of students. In the context of this aim, 18 out of 225 studies regarding creativity that were carried out between 2001 and 2011 have been obtained from certain national and international databases. The studies involving thematic-based meta-analytic reviews are examined under four themes - creative thinking, creative thinking activities, creative thinking techniques and creative writing applications. Certain inclusion criteria are also taken into consideration in the analysis. The statistical programs Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) and MetaWin are made use in order to analyze the data. The inter-rater reliability of the studies is calculated and found to be high. The Meta-analytic research results indicate that the effect size of creative thinking, creative thinking activities, creative thinking techniques and creative writing applications on academic success are large in terms of levels, while the creative applications in terms of learning retention are again large. This means that creativity has positive and great effects on both academic success and learning retention. The values of Fail-safe Number with regard to considering the effects of creative applications on academic success and learning retention show the high reliability of meta-analysis. It can be suggested that researchers should carry out more studies on creativity as there are not enough studies on creativity, especially regarding retention.Article Öğretim Programlarında Yer Alan Yeterliliklere İlişkin Öğretmen Görüşlerinin Değerlendirilmesi(2019) Özdaş, FaysalBu araştırmanın amacı, ortaöğretim öğretim programlarında yer alan öğrenmeyi öğrenme, ana dilde iletişim, sosyal yeterlilikler, kültürel farkındalık ve ifade, inisiyatif alma ve girişimcilik, yeterliliklerin kazandırılma düzeyini öğretmen görüşlerine göre belirlemektir. Araştırmada, nitel ve nicel yöntemler birlikte kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri, öğretim programlarında yer alan yeterlilikler ölçek haline getirilerek Mardin İli Artuklu İlçe merkezinde ortaöğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 216 öğretmenden toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verileri ise, aynı çalışma grubu kapsamında 50 öğretmenden görüşme formu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Yeterliliklerin kazandırılma düzeyi, cinsiyet değişkenine göre ortalamaların benzerlik gösterdiği ve “ara sıra” düzeyinde gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet ve branş değişkenlerine göre öğretmen görüşleri arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Mesleki kıdeme göre, öğrenmeyi öğrenme ile sosyal yeterlik alt boyutları arasında anlamlı fark tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğretmenler yeterlilikleri kazandırmak için öğrenci merkezli yaklaşım kullandıklarını, teknolojiden yararlandıklarını, sözlü anlatım etkinlikleri yaptıklarını, görsel ve işitsel materyallerden yararlandıklarını ve grupla çalışma yaptıklarını belirtilmişlerdir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yönteminin olgubilim deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubu, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden olan kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmaya ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise kademelerinde eğitim veren farklı branşlardan 11’i kadın, 29’u erkek olmak üzere 40 öğretmen katılımda bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri üç sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada öğretmenlerin bakış açısı ile öğretmenlerin, okul yönetiminin ve öğrencilerin demokratik öğrenme ortamının inşasına yönelik olarak sorumlulukları hakkında görüşler alınmıştır. Elde edilen görüşler içerik analizi yapılarak bunlardan tema ve kodlar çıkartılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda demokratik öğrenme ortamının inşasında okul yönetiminin okulla ilgili karar almada öğretmen, öğrenci ve velilerin ortak görüşlerine başvurmasının beklenildiği; öğretmenlerin, sınıfta öğrenciler için demokratik öğrenme ortamı sağlamaları gerektiği; öğrencilerin, okulu ve sınıfı benimsemelerinin etkili olduğu; demokratik öğrenme ortamı için öğrenci, öğretmen, okul yönetimi ve velilerin ortak bir anlayışla hareket etmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Tüm paydaşlar ortak bir amaç ve algı ile hareket ettiğinde bir bütünlük içinde demokratik öğrenme ortamı oluşmaktadır. Bu noktada eğitim süreci içerisinde her bireyin üstüne düşen sorumlulukları yerine getirmesi gerekmektedir.
