Dil öğretim kitapları hedef dilin ilk elden kaynakları olmanın yanı sıra, o dilin dilbilgisi için de temel referans metinleridir. Ayrıca dil öğretim kitaplarında okuma metinleri, dinleme metinleri, konuşma ve yazma aktiviteleri ile alıştırmalar yer alır. Bunlar dil öğretim sürecinde tutarlılık ve devamlılık sağlar. Dahası dil öğretim kitapları, belirli tema ve üniteler halinde hazırlandıkları için günlük, haftalık ve yıllık plan ve izlence görevi de görürler. Bu çalışmada 2022 yılında yayımlanan Kurdîzan Kurmancî 1Asta Destpêkê Kürtçe öğretim seti dört temel becerisi olan okuma, yazma, dinleme ve konuşma becerilerinin öğretimi yönünden incelenmiştir. Nitel araştırma deseninde doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılan bu çalışmada belirlenen hedef ve alt hedefler doğrultusunda dil becerilerine yönelik etkinlik ve alıştırmaların dağılımı, bu alıştırmaların türü ve sunumu tablo ve grafikler aracılığıyla sunulmuş ve elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Kurdîzan öğretim setinde dil becerilerinin dengeli bir dağılımının olduğu görülmüştür. Di beşa dawî de encamên xebatê hatine pêşkeşkirin û li ser cudahiyên di navbera nêrînên xwendekar û mamosteyên hatiye sekînin.Article An Evaluation Of Online Kurdish Teaching Platforms(2025-12-31) Kurt, ŞehmusIn recent years, the surge of interest in Kurdish education has led to remarkable changes in educational methods and platforms in this field. In addition to traditional teaching materials and face-to-face teaching methods, Kurdish education is now delivered through various widely accessible platforms and multimedia resources with the advancement of digital technologies. This shift aims to improve the sensitivity, accessibility and effectiveness of language education processes. This study comprehensively analyses four different websites dedicated to Kurdish language education and systematically evaluates the pedagogically effective aspects of language teaching on each platform. The results of the revolution suggest that the so-called digital platforms can be effectively and successfully adapted for Kurdish education in a specific way. However, the lack of organisation within a systematic curriculum in terms of content has proved to be a significant shortcoming, leading to an imbalance (in terms of listening, speaking, reading and writing) between the four basic language skills. This imbalance exacerbates the challenges users face during language learning and hinders their progress in achieving their educational goals. Furthermore, the limited number of languages used for language learning on certain platforms hinders the ability to reach the target audience and limits international access. Therefore, in order to fully utilise the opportunities that digital platforms offer for Kurdish education, it is crucial to develop pedagogical approaches appropriately, structure them well and build comprehensive teams. This approach will effectively address the different needs of both Kurdish teachers and learners. In this manner, both Kurdish students will be capable of addressing various needs and assisting in the continuation and widespread presence of the language in the digital environment.Article Beşinci Sınıflar Kürtçe (kurmancî) Kitabında Yer Alan Metinlerin Okuma Becerisinin Öğretilmesi Yönünden İncelenmesi(2024) Kurt, ŞehmusOkuma temel dil becerilerinden biridir. Bu nedenle dil öğretiminde sürecinde okuma becerisinin öğretimi ve geliştirilmesi başat hedefler arasında gösterilmektedir. Bunun için de dil öğretimi kitaplarında okuma metinleri ve bu metinler üzerinde yapılan etkinlikler üzerinde durulmaktadır. Kürtçe öğretim kitaplarında da benzer bir yöntem izlenir ve bu kitaplarda çeşitli metinlere yer verilmektedir. Bu çalışmada 5. sınıf seçmeli Kürtçe ders kitabı örnek olarak seçilmiş ve kitapta yer alan okuma metinleri okuma becerisinin öğretilmesi yönünden analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla çalışmanın deseni olarak nitel araştırma seçilmiş ve tarama modeli ile doküman ve içerik analizi tekniğine dayalı olarak kitap metinleri, metin türleri ve etkinlikler, alıştırmalar ve bunlar arasındaki dağılım dengesi tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, kitapta röportaj, şiir, öykü, fıkra, şarkı ve serbest metinlerden oluşan toplam 43 okuma metni yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Despite the scarcity of geographical studies and research in Kurmanji Kurdish, Abdurrahman Önen's works entitled Geography of Kurdistan-1 Agri, Geography of Kurdistan-2 Wan, Geography of Kurdistan-3 Bitlis, and Geography of Kurdistan-4 Muş hold a unique importance. Önen's publications serve as a valuable resource not only for Kurdish researchers and audiences but also for all those interested in the geography of Agri, Van, Bitlis, and Muş regarding the content and specifics of the work. Consequently, these works have been chosen for analysis. The aim of this study, in line with the International Geography Union (IGU), and according to the structure and methods of geographical research, is to identify the geography, locate Abdurrahman Önen's works in it, and analyze and evaluate those works. The works have been analyzed and evaluated according to 12 criteria based on document analysis. This work also demonstrates that further efforts are needed in scientific fields like geography, and modern research should be advanced, especially in the Kurdish language, so that science can merge with local culture and foster development on both fronts.Article Danasîna Nusxeyên Destxet Ên Berhemên Feqiyê Teyran Ên Koleksîyona Alexander Jaba(2022) Kurt, ŞehmusAleksander Auguste Jaba's Kurdish manuscript collection which was prepared with the Mollah Mahmoud-i Bazidi has an important place in the history of Kurdish Studies. As it gives valuable information both on Kurds and their 19th century lives and also has saved many poems, stories, songs, epics and masnawis from being destroyed and reached them to the day. This Jaba’s collection is also important for the history of Kurdish literature because it has introduced eight classic Kurdish literary poets along with many other classic and folk literature works. Feqiyê Teyran is also named among these poets and information on his life and works is given. Moreover, in the collection itself, there are six independent copies of the works of Feqiyê Teyran beside the poems in different gildings. Two copies belong to the poem Ey av û avê, but at the end of the manuscript there is a part of Îro qewi giryê me tê poem untitled and uninterrupted. The remaining four copies are manuscripts of Sheikh Senani poetry. One of these copies is incomplete but the remaining three are complete copies. The main objective of this study is to introduce Faqiyê Teyran’s works that take part in Jaba’s collection. We hope that this work will open a way for the researchers for future studies on Feqi and make it easier for the researchers to find the works of Feqi. In this study, a short history of Jaba’s collectio has been given, followed by information about the life and works of Feqiyê Teyran. Subsequently, six independent copies of Ey Av û Avê and Sheikh Senani and two copies of Ey Av û Avê which places in different gildings are presented under a total of 27 titles.Article A Comparison Between Mehmed Uzun’s The Well of Destiny and Oguz Atay’s The Novel of A Scholar in the Context of Bildungsroman(2026) Kurt, Şehmus; Yılmaz, FerhatBiographical novels are based on the lives of famous historical figures. As in some biographical novels the narration covers the entire life from childhood to death, they can be classified as part of the Bildungsroman genre. The Bildungsroman traces the intellectual and social development of individuals. In Kurdish literature, Mehmed Uzun’s novel The Well of Destiny and Oguz Atay’s The Novel of a Scholar from Turkish literature are examples of the Bildungsroman. This study compares The Well of Destiny and The Novel of a Scholar within the framework of comparative literature and in the context of the Bildungsroman. Consequently, both novels show that the intellectual and social development of the protagonists is closely followed throughout their lives. Mehmed Uzun narrates the life of Celadet Ali Bedirkhan, while Oguz Atay explores the life of Mustafa Inan using the Bildungsroman approach. The study emphasizes that the similarities between the works of Uzun and Atay are evident not only in terms of content, but also in terms of writing style, intellectual perspectives and patterns of personal development.Master Thesis Dı Pırtûka Kurdîzan 1ê da Hêmanên Çandî û Çar Şîyanên Bıngehîn ên Zımanî(2025) Turan, Muhsin; Kurt, ŞehmusKürtçenin geliştirilmesi amacıyla eğitime yönelik eserler, kaynaklar ve materyaller bulunmakta olup, gerek şahıslar gerekse kurum ve kuruluşlar tarafından çeşitli kitaplar hazırlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada yalnızca Mezopotamya Vakfı tarafından yayımlanan bir kitaba odaklanacağız. Daha önce Artuklu Üniversitesi Kürt Enstitüsü tarafından Mamoste 1 ismiyle yayımlanmıştır. Bu kitabın ismi Kurdîzan 1 Kurmanci'dir. Öğretimde okuma, yazma, dinleme ve konuşma dediğimiz dört temel beceri vardır. Bu nedenle Kurdîzan 1 kitabındaki konumuzun ismi kültürel ögeler ve dört temel dil becerisidir. Çalışmanın problemi Kürtçe öğretimi için eserler hazırlanması ve eserlerin zemininin belirli ölçütlere göre oluşturulmasıdır. İki temel ölçüt, söz konusu dört becerinin ve kültürel ögelerin eserlerde başarıyla kullanılmasıdır. Çalışmanın amacı, kültürel ögelerin ve dört temel becerinin Kurdîzan 1'de nasıl kullanıldığını analiz etmektir. Kurdîzan 1 üzerine yapılan eleştiri ve analizler daha başarılı çalışmalar geliştirmek için bir araç olacaktır. Belirli esaslara göre düzeltmeler ve iyileştirmeler ortaya çıkacaktır. Bu iyileştirme ve düzeltmeler, bundan sonraki çalışmalar için de bir rehber ve öncelik teşkil edecektir. Bu da bize çalışmanın önemini göstermektedir. Kurdîzan Zazaca için de yayımlandığından, çalışma Kurdîzan 1 Kurmanci ile sınırlandırılmış ve bu çalışmada yalnızca kültürel ögeler ve dört temel dil becerisinin analizi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada seçilen temel yöntem içerik analizidir. Bu çalışma sonucunda kültürel ögelerin başarıyla kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Bazı eksiklikleri olmasına rağmen, Kurdîzan 1 kitabı temel dil becerileri açısından faydalı bir eserdir ve bu beceriler geliştirilecektir. Çalışma dört bölüme ayrılmış ve bu bölümlerin adları 'teorik arka plan, Kurdîzan 1'in tanıtımı, Kurdîzan 1'deki kültürel ögeler ve Kurdîzan 1'deki dört temel beceri' olarak verilmiştir.
