    The research aimed to identify the reality and attitude of Mardin university students about knowledge sharing, in addition to identifying channels which students preferred it to sharing knowledge, the motivations that guide students to share knowledge, and the main obstacles that impede the process of sharing knowledge. The research focused on colleges that adopt Arabic as a basic teaching language, the analytical descriptive approach was adopted in this research, a questionnaire was designed based on previous studies to measure the attitudes of students about the process of sharing knowledge, And distributed to (235) students. The results showed that the most important sources of students to obtain their information are course teachers with an average of 3.95. But overall the search process was low, and the aim of most students from knowledge sharing was to clarify and discuss the exam issues by (3.78). The references which course teachers are provided them were the most widely used tools by (3.72), It turns out that students tend to share their knowledge faceto-face by (4.14), but about the attitudes of university students, most of them were aware the value of knowledge and their sharing it, and they considered that helps to improve the process of education by (4.16), and most of them encourage knowledge sharing and consider it good by(4.36). The study also presented a set of recommendations that would contribute to improving the process of sharing knowledge among students in the university institution.

    Sustainable Livelihood of Refugees in Turkey: Does Entrepreneurship Make a Difference

    This study examines the impact of livelihoods dimensions on the Syrian refugees in Turkey considering the role of entrepreneurship in this nexus. A quantitative approach was used in this study, through a sample of 470 refugees scattered across Turkey. Using AMOS to analyze the data, the findings indicate that refugee environment, social networks, and training have positive impacts on refugees' livelihoods, whereas COVID-19 context is negatively associated with their livelihood. Furthermore, entrepreneurship has a promising role in improving refugee livelihood and mitigating negative impacts. These findings reinforce all policies that incentivize refugees to cover part of the cost of their lives, and therefore they may be useful in providing constructive insights for government policymakers in the refugee-hosting country, as well as for international organizations. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.     Entrepreneurship in Crisis: The Determinants of Syrian Refugees' Entrepreneurial Intentions in Turkey

    This study aims to identify the determinants of entrepreneurial intentions among Syrian refugees in Turkey. The research, based on planned behaviour theory, focused on the impact of the refugee context on those intentions and thus on the attitudes and behaviour of entrepreneurs. The study is based on the positivist paradigm, and a quantitative methodology was used to collect data. We preferred the method of convenience sampling and chose 122 entrepreneurial projects at the beginning of 2020. The results show that psychological characteristics have no significant impact. Motivation, conviction, and independence are not sufficient conditions for the choice of an entrepreneurial profession. Self-standards do not affect the entrepreneurial intentions of refugees, as support from family and friends may not be sufficient reason to engage in an entrepreneurial project. However, entrepreneurship emerged among the refugees distinguished by perseverance, efficiency, a spirit of innovation, prior experience, adequate perceptions of barriers, and having the resources needed to implement projects. The refugee context has a negative emotional impact on entrepreneurship for reasons related to conditions of instability, language difficulties, the need for capital to invest, and a lack of entrepreneurial knowledge. The research findings can be used to support the role of humanitarian organisations, UN agencies, and host governments in developing a deeper understanding of entrepreneurial intentions in the refugee context. © 2021 by the authors.     İnsan kaynakları, özellikle rekabetçi ve hızla değişen iş ortamlarında, kurumsal stratejik varlıklar arasında kritik bir öneme sahiptir. Bu tez, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamalarının kurumsal yenilik üzerindeki etkisini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. İnsan kaynakları yönetimi, çalışanların yeteneklerini geliştirmede ve yenilikçi bir kültür oluşturmada belirleyici bir rol oynamaktadır. Kurumsal yenilik, sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı sağlamak için hayati bir unsurdur. Bu nedenle, insan kaynakları uygulamaları ile kurumsal yenilik arasındaki ilişkiyi anlamak büyük önem taşımaktadır. Çalışma, kaynaklar ve yetkinlikler teorisine dayanmaktadır ve insan kaynakları yönetiminin temel uygulamaları olan işe alım, seçim, eğitim ve geliştirme ile ücret/ödüllendirme sistemlerini kapsamaktadır. Bu uygulamalar, organizasyonların yenilik kapasitelerini artırmak için kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu bağlamda, akademik ve idari personelin ihtiyaçlarının doğru belirlenmesi ve bu ihtiyaçlara uygun stratejilerin geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Araştırmada nicel bir yöntem kullanılarak, değişkenleri ölçmek için literatüre dayalı bir anket tasarlanmıştır. Anket, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde görev yapan 201 akademisyen ve idari personele dağıtılmıştır. Anket araçları, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik açısından sistematik bir incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Verilerin analizi için Sosyal Bilimler İstatistik Paketi (SPSS) kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin analizi için uygun istatistiksel yöntemler ve çoklu regresyon analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır.Sonuçlar, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerin insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamalarının beklenen yenilik desteklerini sağlayamadığını göstermektedir. İnsan kaynakları birimlerinin, akademik ve idari personelin ihtiyaçlarını belirlemek için yıllık değerlendirmeler yapmadığı ve gelecekteki ihtiyaçları tahmin etmek için gelişmiş yöntemler kullanmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, iş analizi ve insan kaynakları planlaması konularında bilgi ve deneyim eksikliği gözlemlenmiştir. Bu durum, insan kaynakları birimlerinin üniversitelerin stratejik hedefleriyle uyumlu bir şekilde hareket etmesini engellemektedir.Tez, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde insan kaynakları yönetimini geliştirmek için önemli öneriler sunmaktadır. Öncelikle, yıllık değerlendirme süreçlerinin geliştirilmesi ve akademik ile idari personelin ihtiyaçlarının belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Ayrıca, gelişmiş tahmin yöntemlerinin benimsenmesi, üniversitelerin gelecekteki ihtiyaçlarını daha etkili bir şekilde karşılamalarına olanak tanıyacaktır. İnsan kaynakları birimlerinin, nitelikli personel çekme ve elde tutma kapasitesini artırmak için bilgi ve uzmanlık seviyelerinin yükseltilmesi önemlidir. Sonuç olarak, akademik ve idari personel arasında yenilik kültürünün oluşturulması gerekmektedir. Bu önerilerin uygulanması, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerin insan kaynakları yönetimini kurumsal yenilik gereksinimlerine uygun şekilde geliştirmelerine yardımcı olacaktır. Tez, insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamaları ve kurumsal yenilik üzerindeki etkisine ilişkin akademik bilgi birikimini zenginleştirmekte ve eğitim kurumlarında etkili insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamalarının bilimsel temellerini sağlamaktadır.     Deciphering the Motives, Barriers and Integration of Syrian Refugee Entrepreneurs Into Turkish Society: a Sem Approach

    Purpose This study/paper aims to explore the effect of motives and barriers of Syrian refugee entrepreneurs on social and economic integration into Turkish society. Design/methodology/approach Using a convenience sampling technique, data was collected using a questionnaire from 300 Syrian entrepreneurs who have entrepreneurial ventures in Turkey. The collected data was analyzed using structural equation modeling through an AMOS software. Findings The results of this study indicate a significant influence of both individual and contextual motives on integration into Turkish society. However, the individual and contextual barriers do not appear to affect integration. Originality/value This research contributes to the literature investigating the motives and barriers in relation to social and economic integration into Turkish society.

    Yüksek Teknoloji Girişimciliğinin Kobi'lerin Yenilikçi Performansı Üzerindeki Etkisi: Türkiye'den Kanıtlar

    Bu çalışmada, KOBİ'lerde yüksek teknoloji girişimciliğin yenilikçi performans üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi ve bu etki üzerinde özümseme kapasitenin mediatör rolü araştırılmıştır. Örnekleme yöntemi olarak kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır, veri toplama aracı ise anketi kullanılarak toplamda 212 anket toplanmıştır, kısmi en küçük kareler yapısal eşitlik modellemesi (PLS-YEM) kullanılarak çalışmanın hipotezleri test edilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular kapsamında, yüksek teknoloji girişimcilik ile özümseme kapasitesi ve yenilikçi performans arasında anlamlı ve pozitif ilişki olduğu; özümseme kapasitesi ile yenilikçi performans arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, yüksek teknoloji girişimcilik ile yenilikçi performans ilişkisinde özümseme kapasitenin kısmi aracılık rolü bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir, dolayısıyla böyle bir bağlamda özümseme kapasitesini anlamak çok önemlidir. Elde edilen sonuçlara dayanarak çalışma, yüksek teknoloji girişimciliğin benimsenmesinin gerekliliği ve şirketin bilgiyi özümseme, dönüştürme ve kullanma yeteneklerinin geliştirilmesi de dahil olmak üzere bir dizi öneri sundu. Bu çalışma, Yüksek teknoloji girişimciliğini anlamak ile, yüksek teknoloji girişimciliği ve KOBİler'in yenilikçi performans ilişkisinde, özümseme kapasitenin aracılık rolünün belirlenmesi ile literatüre katkı sağlanmaktadır.     Can entrepreneurial knowledge boost the entrepreneurial intent of French students? The mediation role of behavioral antecedents

    Purpose: Entrepreneurial knowledge occupies a significant place in policy discourse and practice, especially in developed economies. This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on the components of entrepreneurial intent of undergraduate students. The authors seek to decipher a deeper understanding of their orientation for engaging in new ventures. In addition, we analyze the mediating role of behavioral antecedents between entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurial intent. Design/methodology/approach: The authors collected the primary data of 400 undergraduate students from French universities and used structural equation modeling through Smart PLS software for testing several pertinent hypotheses. Findings: The study’s results revealed that entrepreneurial knowledge negatively affects students’ attitudes in choosing entrepreneurship in favor of a corporate job. In addition, entrepreneurial knowledge does not affect the social norms and self-efficacy that shape entrepreneurial intent. Interestingly, our study also revealed no mediating role between entrepreneurial knowledge and students’ self-efficacy. Originality/value: The findings of this study will contribute to the academic discourse on the role of entrepreneurial knowledge and its potential effect in promoting entrepreneurship. Furthermore, this study has policy implications and solicits developing entrepreneurship programs to enhance entrepreneurial intent among young people.

    THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF UNIVERSITIES AND ITS IMPACT ON BUILDING ORGANIZATIONAL REPUTATION: THE CASE OF MARDIN ARTUKLU UNIVERSITY

    This article investigates the stakeholder's recognition for the Mardin Artuklu University's activities relating to social responsibility and its impact on the university's organizational reputation. Using data collected from a straddle sample of 919 persons of stakeholders of the university, we carried out ANOVA, two independent samples t test and multiple linear regression. The results suggest that there is less than medium level of recognition, the administrative staff has the highest level of recognition between the stakeholders and the social responsibility, in general, has very important role in building the organizational reputation for the university, with different levels of importance for the different fields of practicing social responsibility.
