Abstract
In this study, teachers' views on their burnout experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic were examined to reveal their burnout-related experiences. In the study, which was conducted with the participation of 111 teachers in the quantitative part of the study and 14 teachers in the qualitative part, and in which the mixed design approach was used, quantitative data were collected through Demographic Information Form and Maslach Burnout Inventory, and qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The findings showed that female teachers felt more inadequate in terms of personal accomplishment and the burnout levels of teachers changed significantly according to the branch. No significant relationship was found between burnout, age and seniority. Teachers experienced physical, social, professional and psychological problems due to the pandemic, faced some difficulties in adapting to changing educational needs and used professional development opportunities. The research results point to the need for empowering teachers through prevention and recovery programs to cope with emotional difficulties during psychologically difficult conditions.
