Abstract

İnsanın temel ayırt edici özelliği, sahip olduğu irâdesidir. İrâde insanı diğer yaratılmışlardan ayıran temel özelliklerinden birisidir. Tarih boyunca gerek İslam öncesi teolojilerde, gerekse İslam kelamında insanın bu vasfa sahip olması ile birlikte hidâyet ve dalâlet olarak nitelenen iman ve küfür konusu, temel tartışma konularından birisi olmuştur. Dolayısıyla hidâyet ve dalâlet bahsi önemli oranda irâde konusuyla da ilişkilendirilmiştir. Aynı şekilde kader bahsi çerçevesinde de ele alınan hidâyet ve dalâlet konusu, İslam kelamcıları tarafından farklı değerlendirilmiştir. Her bir kelam okulu, bu konuyu sahip oldukları temel yöntemler kapsamında değerlendirmiştir. Bu çerçevede önemli oranda birbirine muhalif duran iki kelam okulu olan Mu?tezile ile Eş?arîlerin, konuyu nasıl değerlendirdikleri önemlidir. Bu durumun bir gereği olarak iki kelam okulunun önemli iki temsilcisi olan Kadî Abdülcebbâr ve Seyfüddîn el-Âmidî'nin değerlendirmeleri mukayeseli bir şekilde işlenmiştir.

The most basic distinguishing feature of man is his will. The will is one of the basic features that distinguishes man from other creatures. Throughout history, both in pre-Islamic theologies and in Islamic theology, the subject of faith and unbelief, which is described as guidance and heresy, has been one of the main topics of discussion. Therefore, the talk of guidance and misguidance has been significantly associated with the issue of will. Likewise, the issue of guidance and misguidance, which is also dealt with within the framework of destiny, has been evaluated differently by Islamic theologians. Each kalam (theology) school evaluated this subject within the scope of their basic methods. In this context, it is important how the Mu'tazila and Ash'aris, which are two schools of kalam that are considerably in opposition to each other, evaluate the issue. As a requirement of this situation, the evaluations of Qadi Abdulcebbâr and Seyfuddin al-Âmidî, who are two important representatives of the two schools of kalam, have been studied in a comparative way.
