Türkiye complies with various international agreements in order to achieve its environmental sustainability goals. The goal of this study is to investigate the nexus between sustainable development and technological innovation in Türkiye between 1990 and 2019. The stationarity test of the variables was investigated using the ADF unit root test. A long-term relation between the variables was determined by applying the ARDL model. Long-term findings have shown that technological innovation and economic growth positively affect sustainable development. On the other hand, it was concluded that financial development negatively affects sustainable development. As a result, it has been seen that technological innovation is important for Türkiye to reach sustainable development. Thus, Türkiye can help reduce global environmental pollution by carrying out its innovation policies in a healthy way.en10.1016/B978-0-44-313776-1.00140-9info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessTechnological innovationsustainable developmentTechnological innovation and sustainable developmentBook Part
