Erdal, Zekai2019-05-282019-05-282014https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12514/847Aksaray were located in the center of Anatolia hand gained a new identity containing Turkish-Islamic cultur and art influence after it was invaded by Anatolian Seljukides in XIIth century. In this study a brief summary of Aksaray was given to indicate the importance of city concerning political and cultural events of the period. Afterwards, architectural activities in centrium of Aksaray and its villages between XIIth-XXth century is defined and research was held concerning the mosques, minarets, madrasah, zawiyahs, tombs, caravanserais, hospitals, turkish baths, bridges, fountains, laundries, aqueaducts, kiosks, bakehouses, schools, libraries, publşc buildings, bazaars survived until today in terms of building techniques and architectural specifications. The searched monuments in our extent of thesis were builded within a long time period which had began from XIIth. Century to first half of XXth century.
