Unlike from Mardin's traditional urban fabric, traditional Mardin qasrs placed in courtyard have never been documented before. The pavilions that the first owners were noble families, have changed ownership or been abandoned because of various reasons or been ruined from lack of maintenance. Some pavilions dated to medieval, the period of Artuklu. All of them are exposed to conservation problems. Because of life conditions that had changed, and the problems of conservations, traditional Mardin pavilions are being disappeared.
