Ancak söz konu- su çalışmaların genellikle Fırat Havzası, Dicle Vadisi, Kuzey Suriye ve Doğu Cezire üzerine yoğunlaşmış olduğu görülmektedir. Son yıllarda Şanlıurfa bölgesinde yapılan araştırmalar akarsu boylarının dışında bulunan platolarda kalan bölgenin Neolitikleşme süreci üzerine yeni bilgiler vermektedir. Buna karşın Habur Vadisi Neolitikleşme süreci üzerine yapılan çalışmalar çok kısıtlıdır. Kuzeydoğu Habur Bölgesi olarak da isimlendirilebilecek olan bir bölge üzerinde yürütülen Mardin İli Artuklu, Kızıltepe, Yeşilli ve Nusaybin İlçeleri Pleistosen ve Erken Holosen Dönem Arkeolojik Yüzey Araştırması bu bölgenin Neolitikleşme süreci üzerine yeni bilgiler vermektedir. Bu bağlamda 2022 ve 2023 yılında yürütülen çalışmalarda bölgede Çanak Çömleksiz Neolitik ya da Epi-paleolitik Dönem’e tarihlenen çok sayıda yerleşim yeri tespit edilmiştir. Söz konusu yeni araştırma bölgenin dağlık alanlarında ve Zagros Bölgesi Neolitikleşme süreciyle de ilişkili olabilecek, daha yerel bir Neolitikleşme sürecinin yaşandığını düşün- dürmektedir.Numerous studies have been conducted on the northern Mesopotamian neolithicization process. However, it is seen that the studies in question are generally focused on the Euphrates Basin, Tigris Valley, Northern Syria and East Jazeera. The researches carried out in the Şanlıurfa Region in recent years provide new information on the neolithicization process of the region located on the plateaus outside the river lengths. However, studies on the Neolithicization process of the Habur Valley are very limited. The Pleistocene and Early Holocene Period Archaeological Survey of the Artuklu, Kızıltepe, Yeşilli and Nusaybin districts of Mardin, conducted on a region that can also be named as the Northeast Habur Region, provides new information on the neolithicization process of this region. In this context, during the studies carried out in 2022 and 2023, many settlements dating to the Pottery Neolithic Period or the Epipalaeolithic Period were identified in the region. The new research in question suggests that a more localized neolithicization process is taking place in the mountain- ous areas of the region and may also be related to the neolithicization process of the Zagros Region.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessArkeolojiArticle
