Milli Egitim Bakanligi, 2023) Akin, M.A.; İş, E.; Anuştekİn, M.The aim of this study is to find out whether school administrators’ levels of displaying ethical leadership behaviors differ in a statistically significant way according to some demographic variables according to the perceptions of school psychological counselors. The research is a descriptive study using quantitative research techniques. In the study, first of all, the conceptual framework related to leadership was used. Then, the ethical dimension, which is one of the power sources related to leadership, is mentioned. The sub-dimensions of ethical leadership, whose importance and acceptance in society are increasing day by day, are detailed in detail. These sub-dimensions are important in terms of better understanding and concretization of the study. The research population consists of 3000 school psychological counselors working in Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman and Şanlıurfa provinces in the 2020-2021 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 300 school counselors selected according to the simple random sampling technique. The data were obtained by applying the ethical leadership scale. Parametric t-test and One-Way Anova tests were applied as a result of the normality test and the kurtosis-skewness coefficient applied to determine the distribution of the obtained data. A significant difference was found in the perception levels of the ethical leadership behaviors of school administrators according to the professional seniority and age variable of the teachers; According to the education level variable, there was no significant difference between the perceptions of school administrators regarding ethical leadership behaviors. In the study, it was found that the ethical leadership behavior perceptions of school counselors’ administrators were high. The high level of ethical leadership behaviors of school administrators is important in terms of showing that the ethical leadership-based relationship style is given importance in schools. As a result of the research; According to the teachers participating in the research, school administrators fulfill their ethical leadership roles at a high level. It is important for principals to be trained at a level that can contribute to the professional development of teachers in terms of management processes, and to develop their communication skills in order to achieve the desired results in the teaching process. © 2023, Milli Egitim.
