We employed a quantitative methodology and used a cross-sectional survey design and Structural Equation Modelling to determine the relationships between inclusive leadership, trust in principal, and organizational hypocrisy. The research sample consisted of 408 teachers working in preschool, primary, secondary and high schools in different regions of Türkiye. We collected the data of the study through "Inclusive Leadership Scale," "Organizational Hypocrisy Scale," and "Trust in Principal Scale." The results showed that inclusive leadership, directly and indirectly, affected organizational hypocrisy. According to the total effect, inclusive leadership had a significant, negative, and large impact on organizational hypocrisy and explained 75% of the variance in organizational hypocrisy. Results also indicated a direct effect of inclusive leadership on trust in principal and of trust in principal on organizational hypocrisy. In addition, trust in principal had a mediator effect between inclusive leadership and organizational hypocrisy. Consequently, inclusive leadership and trust in principal were important variables in reducing organizational hypocrisy in schools. In this context, principals need to increase trust in principal by displaying inclusive leadership behaviors to reduce organizational hypocrisy that causes negative consequences in schools.Article Citation - WoS: 4Citation - Scopus: 4The Investigation of the Relations Between Paternalistic Leadership, Organizational Creativity and Organizational Dissent(Research in Educational Administration and Leadership, 2021) Ağalday, Bünyamin; Dağlı, AbidinThe research aims to determine the relationship between public primary school principals' paternalistic leadership behaviours and teachers' organizational creativity and organizational dissent perception levels according to primary school teachers' perceptions. Modernitenin sunduğu her türlü imkâna karşı insanlar, anlamsızlık duyusundan kurtulamamaktadırlar.Article Citation - WoS: 6Citation - Scopus: 6Resilience and mental health literacy mediate the effect of caregiver burden on internalized stigma among mothers of children with disabilities(Routledge, 2023) Sakız, Halis; Kaçan, HavvaThis study explores the mediating role of psychological resilience and mental health literacy in the relationship between caregiver burden and internalized stigma among mothers of children with disabilities (CWD). It has experienced various migration waves from Asia, Awrupa and Africa. Recently, Turkey has confronted a huge wave of migration. Turkey tries to meet many needs besides the educational needs of refugees, but there is not enough study on refugess in the field of educational sciences in Turkey. Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this study is to analyze the Turkey's progress toward meeting refugee education needs through the example of the Syrian Refugee experience. Method: The study uses a case study of the refugees in Mardin and its districts. The data in this study is compiled through interview and observation techniques. An interview form was developed and included the standards (access, integration, quality, protection, participation, partnership, observation and evaluation) suggested by the Office of UNCHR. Coordinators, directors and teachers at schools in Mardin, Midyat and Kiziltepe were interviewed. The researchers tried to turn the data into quantitative and qualitative indicators, taking into account the standards for the various levels of meeting refugee education needs. Findings and Results: Turkey supported refugee education in various ways; for instance, opening schools in the refugee camps and meeting various needs for voluntary schools. The results indicated, however, that according to measures of access, integration, quality, protection, participation, partnership, observation and evaluation, refugee education needs have been inadequately met, and Turkey hasn't a system for refugee education. Conclusions and Recommendations: It has been suggested that Turkey develop a refugee education policy and use UNCHR standards for refugee education. For this, first, Turkey should create a systematic format for its refugee education program. MEB should develop a policy on refugee education. For example, MEB should use UNHCR's criteria to measure access, integration, quality, protection, participation, partnership, observation and evaluation of refugee education. In addition, educational sciences should research refugee education from a holistic perspetive that includes relevant international law and policy fields.Article Citation - Scopus: 25Using virtual reality learning environments to motivate and socialize undergraduates in distance learning(Participatory Educational Research (PER), 2022) Çoban, Murat; Göksu, İdrisInterest in virtual reality technologies has increased significantly in recent years, and an effort is being made to integrate it into educational environments. This study aims to investigate the impact of synchronous distance courses in the Virtual Reality (VR) learning environment (via vAcademia) and Web-based (via Adobe Connect) learning environment on undergraduate students' learning motivation and levels of perceived sociability. The sample of the study was conducted with experimental (VR) and control group (Web-based) quasi-experimental design consists of 41 undergraduate students (experimental: 21, control: 20). As a result of the t-test and two-way ANOVA analysis, there was a significant difference between the groups in favor of the VR group regarding motivation and perceived sociability. The motivation and perceived sociability in the 3D VR environment of the students in distance learning were significantly higher than in the web-based environment. It was also found out that students' motivation and perceived sociability levels did not vary depending on gender or on the technological device (smartphone or computer) that students use when connecting to online classes. The research results indicated that the VR learning environment effectively ensured students' motivation and sociability in the distance learning process. In this context, institutions should be aware of the importance of VR technologies and plan to teach accordingly which may make the process more efficient.
