Article Yerel Halkın Kültür Turizmine Bakış Açısının Sürdürebilir Turizm Açısından Belirlenmesi: Mardin Örneği(2024) Cizrelioğulları, Mehmet NecatiKültürel turizm, yerel mirası ve ekonomik kalkınmayı teşvik ederken, büyümeyi sürdürülebilirlikle dengelemede sıklıkla zorluklarla karşılaşmaktadır. Mardin'de yerel halkın kültür turizmine bakış açısı, şehrin zengin tarihi ve kültürel mirasıyla uyumlu bir şekilde gelişmiştir. Yerel halk, tarihi ve mimari zenginlikleri koruma, yöresel lezzetleri tanıtma ve turistlere yerel kültürü sunma konularında aktif bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Mardin ilinin kültürel ve tarihi değerleriyle kültür turizmi bakımından zengin bir potansiyele sahip olmasını yerel halkın bakış açısıyla değerlendirmektir. Bu doğrultuda, araştırma kapsamında basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak, yüz yüze elde edilen uygulamasında 320 ankete ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin analizi istatistik programı SPSS ile t testi ve ANOVA testleri öngörülerek yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, yerel halkın turizme olumlu bir bakış açısıyla katılımı, hem ekonomik kalkınmayı desteklemekte hem de kültürel mirası sürdürülebilir bir şekilde koruma amacını taşımaktadır. Ayrıca, algılanan turizm etkilerinden kültürel ve ekonomik etkilerinin katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini üzerinde daha fazla etki bıraktığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışma, ileride yapılacak olan akademik çalışmalara örnek olması ve ışık tutması yönünden katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.Article An Analysis the Environmental Pollution Emitted by Aircraft Engines at the Ercan International Airport(2024) Cizrelioğulları, Mehmet Necati; Günay, Tuğrul; Imanov, Tapdig Veyran OğluAirports are strategically important objects for each country, although the place of significant pollution, emitted by aircrafts, thus impacting air quality in nearby residential areas. The environmental challenges at Ercan airport are becoming more serious because of expansion of the airport, increasing scheduled flight and continued growth of passenger flow. Since 2019 passenger turnaround has reached 4 million, while the growth expected in the following years, by the opening of a new airport terminal. The present analysis estimates the level of emission from aircraft engines for chosen environmental parameters accounted for by utilization of three operation modes such as; taxi, landing and take-off cycles. In the period of aircraft parking, emitted pollutants are considered depending on operation hours of the APU. The data collection is based on last 6-month flight information with daily landing cycles. Application the ICAO Engine Exhaust Emission fixed data set methodology, allows for assessment of emission species such as CO₂, HC, NOx, CO, and SO₂ using estimation of fuel consumption level, burned out from different engine models adding applicable coefficients.Article Transformative changes in human resources management practices in the tourism sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic(CONSCIENTIA BEAM, 2024) Cizrelioğulları, Mehmet Necati; Günay, Tuğrul; Kıroğlu, UğurThe COVID-19 pandemic has introduced a significant degree of uncertainty into the operational landscape of businesses within the tourism sector. These uncertainties have raised questions about how working conditions have evolved and may continue to change in the future. This phenomenon has not only had a widespread impact on the travel industry, but it has also extended its influence to the education sector, consequently affecting numerous other sectors in the broader economy. Within this context, the role of departments such as Human Resources (HR) has gained increasing prominence. These departments are entrusted with the crucial responsibility of monitoring workplace standards, particularly in terms of compliance with hygiene regulations and health procedures. The research was conducted in the accommodation service sector of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), encompassing businesses operating in various regions. A sample size of 20 was selected, with data collected from five different facilities situated across the Northern part of the island. This research seeks to shed light on the evolving landscape of human resources management practices in response to the transformative changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this objective, a qualitative research approach was employed. Oral interviews with business executives supplemented this strategy, giving the research findings more depth and context. The culmination of this study is presented in the final section, encapsulating the results and their implications. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse surrounding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human resources, shedding light on the evolving landscape of work in the tourism sector.
