Bölgenin Genel Özellikleri İç Anadolu Bölgesi, Türkiye’nin orta kesimlerinde bulunmakta almakta olup, kuzeyinde Karadeniz dağları, doğusunda Doğu Anadolu dağ sıraları, güneyinde Akdeniz bölgesi ve Toroslar, batısında Ege Bölgesi’nin denize doğru uzanan dağ sıraları, küçük bir alan ile Marmara Bölgesi ile çevrilidir (1). Erciyes Dağı ve Hasan Dağı gibi volkanik dağ kütleleri sayılmazsa İç Anadolu Bölgesi düz bir platodan oluşmaktadır (2).
