| gperson.biography | Biyografi Türkçe ve İngilizce Ferhat Taşkın Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nden mezun olduktan sonra MEB’in YLSY bursunu kazanarak Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ne lisansüstü eğitimi için gitti. Claremont Graduate University-Felsefe Bölümü’nde 2016 yılında yüksek lisans programını tamamladı. Doktora programını ise Indiana University Bloomington’da Felsefe ve Ortadoğu Dilleri ve Kültürleri Bölümleri’nde çift anadal yaparak 2023 yılında bitirdi. “The Problem of Divine Creative Freedom” başlıklı doktora tezinde libertaryen bir teistin ilahi özgürlüğe dair geliştirilen ateistik eleştirileri fail nedensel bir libertaryen pozisyonu savunarak savuşturabileceği tezini ileri sürdü. Metafizik ve epistemoloji temel alanlarına dair genel ilgisinin yanında, spesifik olarak özgür irade, tanrının zat ve sıfatları arasındaki ilişki, eylem felsefesi, zaman ve kötülük problem gibi konular ilgisini çekmektedir. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Divinity, Ferhat Taşkın won the Ministry of National Education's YLSY scholarship and went to the United States for graduate studies. He completed his master’s degree in 2016 at Claremont Graduate University in the Department of Philosophy. He earned his doctorate in 2023 at Indiana University Bloomington, pursuing a dual major in the Departments of Philosophy and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. In his doctoral dissertation titled The Problem of Divine Creative Freedom, he argued that a libertarian theist could counter atheistic critiques of divine freedom by defending a libertarian agent-causal position. In addition to his general interest in core areas of metaphysics and epistemology, he is particularly drawn to topics such as free will, the relationship between God’s essence and attributes, the philosophy of action, time, and the problem of evil. | |
