Kız öğrencilerin okulda ve okul yolunda yaşadıkları güvenlik sorunları

Abstract

Bu araştırmada kız öğrencilerin okulda ve okul yolunda yaşadıkları güvenlik sorunlarının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim deseni tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Mardin ilinin Midyat ilçesinde bulunan ortaöğretim kurumlarında öğrenim gören 36 kız öğrenci ile nitel görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Katılımcılar seçilirken ölçüt amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Ortaöğretim düzeyinde öğrenim gören ve araştırmaya katılan 36 kız öğrenciden 15'i 11. sınıf öğrencisi, 9'u 10. sınıf öğrencisi, 6'sı 9. sınıf öğrencisi ve 6'sı 12. sınıf öğrencisidir. Araştırma dahilinde öğrenciler ile yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilen bulgular neticesinde, öğrencilerin okulda yaşadıklarını ifade ettikleri güvenlik sorunlarının okul içinde, okul yolunda ve kişisel neden kaynaklı güvenlik sorunları yaşadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Okul kategorisinde yaşanan güvenlik sorunlarının öne çıkanları 'kavga/şiddet' 'gizli fotoğraf çekimi', 'yalan söylenmesi', 'laf atılması', 'zorbalık', 'yabancı bireyler' olarak tespit edilmiştir. Okul yolu kategorisi 'yaya', 'servis', 'toplu taşıma' ve 'kişisel neden' olarak dört alt kategoriye ayırılmıştır. Yaşanan güvenlik sorunlarının, öğrencileri nasıl etkilediği de görüşmeler dahilinde sorulmuş ve bulgular kısmında sunulmuştur. Yaşandığı tespit edilen sorunlar üzerine katılımcı olan 36 kız öğrencinin daha güvenli bir eğitim öğretim yaşantıları için yaşadıkları sorunlara nasıl çözümler istedikleri sorulmuş ve öğrencilerin çözüm önerileri alınmıştır. Elde edilen bütün bulgular doğrultusunda kanun yapıcıların, okul yönetimlerinin, öğretmenlerin ve velilerin dikkate alabileceği önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, it is aimed to determine the safety problems that female students experience at school and on the road to school. The phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research designs, was preferred in the study. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 36 female students studying at highschools in the Midyat district of Mardin province. Criterion sampling method was preferred. Of the 36 female students studying at highschool- level and participating in the research, 15 students are 11th grade students, 9 of them are 10th grade students, 6 of them are 9th grade students and 6 of them is a 12th grade student. As a result of the findings obtained as a result of the interviews with the students within the scope of the research, it was determined that the safety problems that the students stated that they experienced at school were safety problems due to school, school road and personal reasons. The prominent safety problems experienced in the school category were identified as 'fight/violence', 'secret photo taking', 'lying', 'slander', 'bullying', 'foreign individuals'. The school road category is divided into four subcategories as 'pedestrian', 'private school bus' 'public transport' and 'personal reasons. How the safety problems experienced affect the students was also asked within the interviews and presented in the findings section. 36 female students, who participated in the problems identified, were asked how they wanted solutions to the problems they experienced for a safer education life, and the students' solution suggestions were received.In line with all the findings obtained, suggestions were made that lawmakers, school administrators, teachers and parents could consider.
