Hizmet öncesi öğretmen yetiştirme sistemine ilişkin bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin hizmet öncesi öğretmen eğitimine ilişkin algılarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından belirlemektir. Nicel araştırma yöntemine dayanan bu çalışmada tarama ve nedensel karşılaştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Mardin ili Kızıltepe ve Artuklu ilçelerinde farklı okul türlerinde görev yapan 6217 öğretmen araştırma evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak 750 öğretmenden veri toplanmıştır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi formu ve hizmet öncesi öğretmen eğitimi algı ölçeğiyle elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde; betimsel istatistikler, bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Welch testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğretmenlerin hizmet öncesi öğretmen eğitimine ilişkin algılarının orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin algılarının kıdem değişkenin tüm boyutlarında ve eğitim durumu değişkeninin eğitim ve öğretim mesleki yeterliği ve akademisyenlerin yeterliği boyutlarında anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin % 28.7'si hizmet öncesi dönemde aldıkları eğitimin çağın ihtiyaçlarına cevap verdiğini, % 59.1'i bu eğitimin çağın ihtiyaçlarına kısmen cevap verdiğini; % 12.3'ü ise verilen eğitimin çağın ihtiyaçlarına cevap vermediğini belirtmiştir. Çalışmada hizmet öncesi dönemde öğretmenlere mesleki ve kişisel gelişimleri için gerekli ortam ve fırsatların sağlanması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The purpose of the study is to determine teachers' perceptions of pre-service education they received in terms of different variables. In this study, both descriptive survey and causal-comparative model were used. The research population consists of 6217 teachers who work in different school types in Kızıltepe and Artuklu districts of Mardin. The research sampling, which consists of 750 teachers, was determined by the simple random sampling method. The data were collected by using personal information form and pre-service teacher education perception scale developed by the researcher. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Welch test were used for the data analysis. The findings show that teachers' perceptions of pre-service education were at medium level. It was observed that teachers' perceptions differed significantly in all dimensions of the professional seniority variable, in education and training professional competence and academician competence dimensions of the graduation degree variable. Teachers (28.7 %) stated that the education they received meets the needs of this century, 59.1 % of them stated that this education relatively meets the needs of this century, 12.3 % of them stated that this education does not meet the needs of this century. It was concluded that the pre-service education should provide necessary environment and opportunities to teachers for their professional and personal development.
