Herder'de toplumsal varoluş ve yerellik

Abstract

Bu çalışmadaki amaç, 18. yüzyıl aydınlanma döneminin düşünürü olan Johann Gottfriend von Herder'in görüşü bağlamında Toplumsal Varoluş ve Yerelliğin önemine değinmektir. Bu çalışma yapıldığında türkçe çevirisi olan Tarih Felsefesi, Dilin kökeni Üzerine, Şhakespeare Üzerine adlı kitaplardan ve İnsanlık Tarihi Felsefesi Üzerine düşünceler adlı yapıtının bir bölümünden yararlanılmıştır. Herder'in eserlerinin Türkçe çevirisi az olması nedeniyle İngilizce kaynaklardan faydalanılmıştır. Bu çalışma giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde toplumsal varoluş başlığı yer almaktadır. İkinci bölümde ise yerellik başlığı bulunmaktadır. Herder, insanın ilk doğa durumunda kalmasından yanadır. Bu nedenle insanın yerel ve organik bir yapıya sahip olması gerektiğini düşünmektedir. Çünkü her toplum kendi doğası içinde kalarak anlamlı hale gelir ve orijinalliğini korur. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde toplumsal varoluş problemine değinilmektedir. Herder doğrudan toplumsal varoluş kavramını kullanmamıştır. Ancak bulunduğu mekân ve mekânın özellikleriyle kuşanmış bir halk, O'na göre kendi kültürünün özelliklerini taşıyabilir. Dolayısıyla halkların farklılaşmasının temel sebebi mêkanların farklılaşmasına dayanmaktadır. Halk, kavramını, felsefesinin merkezine yerleştiren Herder milli halk görüşünü yüceltir. Böylece halkın yaşam tarzını, eylemlerini, kendine ait her bir özelliğini toplumsal varoluş düşüncesinin başlangıcı olarak görür. Herder, insanın ortaya koyduğu bütün amaç ve eylemlerin kendi kültürünün eseri olması gerektiği kanısındadır. Evrensel değerlere karşı eleştirel bir tavır takınmaktadır. Bu nedenle aydınlanma felsefesi ve aydınlanma felsefesini savunan filozofları eleştirmektedir. Bu bağlamda aydınlanma felsefesinin evrensellik düşüncesine karşı çıkar, bunun yerine toplumun yerel ve milli karakterini korunması gerektiğini savunur. Dolayısıyla aydınlanma düşüncesinin coşkusuna kapılarak dil, sanat, kültür gibi dinamiklerinin orijinalliğini kaybeden toplum yapısına karşı çıkmaktadır. Zira O'na göre, yerel ve milli kalmanın en önemli dayanakları bu dinamiklerdir. Herder, doğa ve duygulara önem vermesi nedeniyle romantizm ve insanı yücelten hümanizm akımlarından etkilenmiştir. Böylece klasisizm akımına karşı çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada evrensel değerler karşısında yerelliğin varlığına dikkat çekmek amaçlanmıştır. Böylece yerelliğin önemine değinmek için ilk önce bir halkın etkilendiği yapıların araştırılması gerekir. Orijinal bir doğaya sahip olan halk, onu oluşturan temel yapıların yerel olması gerekliğini ortaya çıkartı.

The aim of this study is to touch on the importance of Social Existence and Locality in the context of the opinion of Johann Gottfriend von Herder, the thinker of the 18th century enlightenment period. When this study was carried out, it was benefited from the books called History Philosophy, On the Origin of Language, On Shakespeare, and a part of his work called Thought on the Philosophy of Human History. Due to the limited number of Turkish translations of Herder's works, English sources were used. This study consists of an introduction and two parts. In the first part, there is the title of social existence. In the second part, there is the title of locality. Herder is in favor of man's being in a state of first nature. Therefore, he thinks that people should have a local and organic structure. Because every society becomes meaningful by staying in its own nature and preserves its originality. In this context, in the first part of this study, the problem of social existence is addressed. Herder didn't directly use the concept of social existence. However, according to him, a people equipped with the features of the place and place can carry the characteristics of their own culture. Therefore, the main reason for the differentiation of peoples is based on the differentiation of places. Putting the concept of the public at the center of his philosophy, Herder glorifies the opinion of the local public. Thus, he sees the people's lifestyle, actions and every characteristic of his own as the beginning of the idea of social existence. Herder is of the opinion that all the aims and actions of man should be the work of his own culture. He adopts a critical attitude towards universal values. For this reason, he criticizes the philosophy of enlightenment and the philosophers who defend the philosophy of enlightenment. In this context, he opposes the idea of universality of the Enlightenment philosophy, and instead argues that the local and national character of the society should be preserved. Therefore, he opposes the social structure that has lost the originality of its dynamics such as language, art and culture by being enthused by the idea of enlightenment. Because, according to him, these dynamics are the most important pillars of staying local and national. Herder was influenced by the movements of romanticism and humanism that glorify the human being, as he attaches importance to nature and emotions. Thus, he opposed the classicism movement. In this study, it is to draw attention to the existence of locality in the face of universal values. Thus, in order to emphasize the importance of locality, it is necessary to first investigate the structures in which a public is affected. Having an original nature, the people revealed that the basic structures that compose it should be local.
