Karahantepe Ören Yerinin Turist Deneyimi Açısından Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Karahantepe, Türkiye'nin güneydoğusunda, Şanlıurfa iline bağlı, tarih öncesi Çanak Çömleksiz Neolitik Çağ'a ait olan önemli bir arkeolojik alan ve yerleşim yeridir. Bölgedeki keşif edilen kalıntılar hem araştırmacıların hem de de turistlerin dikkatini çekmektedir. Karahantepe, tıpkı Göbeklitepe gibi tarıma geçiş döneminin önemli bir yerleşimi ve medeniyetin doğduğu yer olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu araştırma, Karahantepe ören yerinin turist deneyimi açısından değerlendirilmesine odaklanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, tarih öncesi Çanak Çömleksiz Neolitik dönemine ait olan bu önemli yerleşim yerinin ziyaretçileri üzerindeki etkilerini anlamak ve ziyaretçilerin deneyimlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Dolayısıyla, çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi benimsenmiş olup veriler tematik analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu çerçevede Karahantepe'nin tarihini hakkında ilgili literatür taraması ve ikincil kaynakların incelemesi yapılarak elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, Karahantepe ören yerini ziyaret eden turistlerin Google ve Tripadvisor platformlarında yaptıkları toplamda 523 olan çevrimiçi Türkçe yorum incelenmiş olup, bu sayede Karahantepe'nin turist deneyimi açısından değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizlerden elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda bölgede turizm sektöründe sürdürülebilirlik faaliyetleri ile ayrıca turistik deneyim açısından altyapı iyileştirme çalışmaları yapılması önerilmiştir.

Karahantepe, located in southeastern Turkey within the province of Şanlıurfa, is an important archaeological site and settlement dating back to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period. The remains discovered in the area attract the attention of both researchers and tourists. Karahantepe, like Göbeklitepe, is considered an important settlement from the transition period to agriculture and the birthplace of civilization. This study focuses on evaluating the Karahantepe archaeological site in terms of tourist experience. The aim of the study is to understand the impact of this important settlement from the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period on visitors and to reveal their experiences. Accordingly, in this study a qualitative research method was adopted, and the data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Within this framework, the history of Karahantepe was obtained through a review of relevant literature and secondary sources. In addition, a total of 523 online Turkish reviews posted by tourists who visited the Karahantepe archaeological site on Google and Tripadvisor platforms were analyzed, thereby enabling an evaluation of Karahantepe in terms of tourist experience. Based on the findings of the analysis, it is recommended that sustainability activities in the tourism sector be implemented in the region, along with infrastructure improvement efforts to enhance the overall tourist experience.
