SOSYAL HİZMETLER ÖNLİSANS ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN BÖLÜMLERİNE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARI İLE GELECEK BEKLENTİLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal hizmetler önlisans programı öğrencilerinin bölümlerine yönelik tutumları ile gelecek beklentilerini belirlemek ve bölüme yönelik tutum ile gelecek beklentisi düzeylerinin sosyo-demografik değişkenler açısından anlamlı bir farklılık gösterip göstermediğini incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Midyat, Artvin Üniversitesi Borçka Acarlar, Siirt Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler ve Eruh meslek yüksekokullarında sosyal hizmetler bölümünde okuyan 299 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak; araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan sosyo-demografik veri formu, Tuncer (2011) tarafından geliştirilen Gelecek Beklentileri Ölçeği ve Karaca ve Gökçek Karaca (2017) tarafından geliştirilen Sosyal Hizmet Bölümüne Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın en önemli sonucu sosyal hizmetler bölümü öğrencilerinin bölüme yönelik tutumları ile gelecek beklentilerinin olumlu olduğu ve iki değişken arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğudur. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş, okul ve sınıf düzeylerine göre bölüme yönelik tutum ve gelecek beklentisi arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Sosyal hizmetler bölümüne isteyerek gelen ve bölümü kişiliğine uygun gören öğrencilerin bölüme yönelik tutumları ile gelecek beklentilerinin anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to research attitudes toward department and future expectations levels of students at the social services department; and to determine whether attitude toward department and future expectations levels show significant difference in terms of socio-demographic variables. The sampling population of the research is composed of 299 students at the social services department of Mardin Artuklu University Midyat, Artvin University Borçka Acarlar, Siirt University Sosyal Bilimler and Eruh vocational schools. In this study, socio-demographic data form prepared by the researchers, Future Expectations Scale developed by Tuncer (2011) and The Scale of Attitude towards Social Work Department developed by Karaca & Gökçek Karaca (2017) have been used as data collection tools. The most important finding of the research is that attitudes toward department and future expectations among students positive significant relationship has been identified. According to the results of the research, while attitude toward department and future expectation levels of students have not been found significant discrepancy depending on their gender, marital status, age, university and class levels. It has been observed that the future expectation and attitude toward department scores of students who choose this department willingly and approve to personality are significantly higher than other students.
