Hans Reichenbach'ın etik anlayışı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada temel amacımız, ünlü mantıkçı ampirist filozof Hans Reichenbach'ın etik anlayışını incelemektir. Çalışmamız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Reichenbach'ın hayatı, eserleri ve Türkiye'deki çalışmalarına yönelik bir inceleme yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde filozofun etik anlayışının temelleri üzerine bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu kapsamda Reichenbach'ın bilimsel felsefe tasarımı ve indeterminizm düşüncelerine dair ayrıntılı bir analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise filozofun etik anlayışına dair bir araştırma ve değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Buna göre Reichenbach, bilimsel felsefe tasarımının sonuçlarıyla uyumlu olarak buyrukçu etik anlayışını ortaya koymaktadır. Aynı şekilde etiğin bilgi üzerinde temellendirme çalışmalarının imkânsızlığını savunarak Sokrates, Platon, Baruch Spinoza ve Immanuel Kant'ın ahlak görüşlerini reddetmektedir. Reichenbach sadece etik bir kuram geliştirmekle kalmamakta, ahlak felsefesinde önemli bir sorun olan özgür irade problemine de determinizmi reddedip indeterminizmi savunarak bir çözüm bulmaya çalışmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra etik yargıların doğasına yönelik bir mantıksal analiz vermeyi de ihmal etmemektedir. Bu bağlamda filozofun etik anlayışına genel olarak bakıldığında meta etikteki bilişsel olmayan kuramların kategorisinde değerlendirildiğini ifade etmek gerekir.

Our main purpose in this study is to examine the ethical thought of the logical empiricist philosopher Hans Reichenbach. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part, a review of Reichenbach's life, works, and studies in Turkey are conducted. In the second part, information is given on the foundations of Reichenbach's ethical understanding. In this context, a detailed analysis of the philosopher's thoughts on scientific philosophy and indeterminism is carried out. In the third part, research and evaluation are made on Reichenbach's moral understanding. Accordingly, he develops prescriptive ethics in the line with the results of his scientific philosophy. Likewise, by defending the impossibility of grounding ethics on knowledge, he refuses the moral views of Socrates, Plato, Baruch Spinoza, and Immanuel Kant. Reichenbach not only improves an ethical theory but also tries to find a solution to the problem of free will, which is an important problem in moral philosophy, by denying determinism and defending indeterminism. Besides, he does not neglect to make a logical analysis of the nature of ethical judgments. İn this context when looking at Reichenbach's ethical thought in general, it should be stated that it is positioned in the category of non-cognitive theories in meta-ethics.
