Abstract
In the Arabic language literature, studies have been carried out mainly on poetry before Islam and on the structure of language after Islam, especially in the context of âmil-m'amul. The word "Nahiv", which was expressed in the conversation and discussion between Khalifa Ali and Ebu'l-esved Ed-dueli, (d.69/688) actually found its place as a term that would form the basis of this language. Accordingly, many studies have been carried out on âmil (al-'Avâmil), which forms the basis of the science of nahiv. Foremost among these are Abdulkahir el-Curcânî's (d.471/1078-79) el-'Avamilu'l-Mi'e and Muhammed el-Birgivi's (d.981/1573) el-'Avamil. Ali b. Hamid es-Sheyhani's (d.1152/1739) work tittled as Tafsilu'l-Avamil-Mi'e is an important work written in the field of Arabic language in the kind of annotation, amendment and whole on el-'Avamil. In this study, the life and works of Ali bin Hamid es-Sheyhani, in addition to this, the review of his work Tafsilu'l-Avamili'l-Mi'e is included.
