Erken dönem Hıristiyanlıkta Meryem'in teolojik konumu

Abstract

Meryem, Hıristiyan düşüncesinde teslisten sonra en çok bahse konu edilen kutsal bir figürdür. Meryem'e dair günümüz Hıristiyanlarının inançları Hıristiyanlık tarihi boyunca gelişip değişime uğrayarak şekillenmiştir. İznik (325) ve Efes (431) Konsillerinden sonra, Meryem'in Tanrı Annesi kabul edilmesiyle ona tapınmaya kadar götürülen Meryem kültü Hıristiyanların dini yaşamlarında, sanat ve kültür hayatlarında etkili olmuştur. Yüzyıllar boyunca birikerek şekillenen Meryem kültünü oluşturan helenistik unsurlara dair çok sayıda çalışma yapılmış ve antik dünyanın tanrıça tasavvurlarının Meryem kültüne etkilerini ele alan araştırmalar yoğun şekilde çalışılmıştır. Buna karşın erken dönem Hristiyanlıkta Meryem'in konumunun ne olduğu konusu önemini hala korumaktadır. Meryem'e dair bu inançların ortaya çıkmasından önce miladi birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü yüzyıllarda Meryem'in Hıristiyan akidesindeki konumu ve Hıristiyan cemaatin nazarındaki yerinin ne olduğu konusu açıklığa kavuşmamıştır. Bu tez çalışmasında kanonik ve apokrif İnciller, kilise babalarının görüşleri, konsiller, Meryem'in erken dönem Hıristiyan teolojisindeki konumu çerçevesinde bahse konu edilmektedir. Henüz Hristiyan adının yeni kullanılmaya başladığı söz konusu dönemde İsa'nın takipçileri olarak zikredebileceğimiz ilk Hıristiyanların Meryem'e bakışları tespit edilmektedir. Bu yolla Meryem'in erken dönem Hıristiyanlıktaki teolojik konumunun İncil metinlerinden konsillere doğru geçirdiği değişim ve dönüşüm sürecine ışık tutulmaktadır.

Mary is a holy figure that is the most discussed about after the trinity in Christian thought. The beliefs of today's Christians about Mary have been shaped throughout the history of Christianity. After the Nicaea (325) and Ephesus (431) Councils, the cult of Mary, which was taken to worship with the acceptance of Mary as the Mother of God, has been influential in the religious, artistic and cultural lives of Christians. Numerous studies have been carried out on the Hellenistic elements that form the cult of Mary, which has accumulated over the centuries, and studies on the effects of the goddess conceptions of the ancient world on the cult of Mary have been intensively studied. However, the subject of the position of Mary in early Christianity still maintains its importance. Prior to the emergence of these beliefs about Mary, the position of Mary in the Christian creed and her place in the eyes of the Christian community in the first, second and third centuries AD have not been clarified. This thesis investigated the canonical and apocryphal gospels, the views of the church fathers, the councils, the position of Mary in early Christian theology. In the said period, when the name "Christian" was just beginning to be used, the first Christians, whom we can mention as followers of Jesus, is determined their perception of Mary. In this way, it's sheded light on the change and transformation process of the theological position of Mary in early Christianity from the Bible texts to the councils.
