Dijital toplumlarda benlik sunumu

Abstract

Dijital toplumlarda, teknolojik gelişmelerin gündelik hayatı dönüştürmesiyle beraber sosyal medya aracılığıyla ünlenerek şöhretleri artan fenomenler ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, örneklem olarak ele alınan Instagram fenomeni Kerimcan Durmaz'ın benlik sunumu analiz edilmiştir. Dramaturjik kuramı çerçevesinde Instagram profilindeki fotoğraf paylaşımları incelenen Kerimcan Durmaz'ın benlik sunumunu nasıl gerçekleştirdiği tartışmaya açılmıştır. Bu ilişki bağlamında, sosyal medya araçlarından biri olan Instagram'dan benlik sunumunun toplumsal düzlemde nasıl tezahür ettiği ele alınmıştır. Dijital toplumları anlamak için içinde cereyan eden gelişmeleri de anlamak gerekir. Bu amaçla benlik kavramının sosyal bilimler düzlemindeki kavramsallaştırmaları, dijital toplumda sosyal medya kavramı, araçları, özellikleri ele alınıp açıklanmıştır. Burada örneklem olarak ele alınan Kerimcan Durmaz'ın Instagram gönderileri üzerinden benlik sunumunun nasıl toplumsal bir boyut kazandığı, dijital toplumdaki değişimi anlamak açısından önemlidir. Böylece araştırma boyunca benlik algısının dijital toplumlardaki dönüşümü Goffman'ın dramaturji kuramı çerçevesinde içerik çözümlemesi ve göstergebilim yöntemi ile anlamlandırılacaktır.

In digital societies, phenomena of increasing fame and reputation in social media emerge as technological development encapsulates everyday life. In this city, the self-presentation of the Instagram phenomenon Kerimcan Durmaz was analyzed. Within the framework of dramaturgical theory, Kerimcan Durmaz's photo sharing on Instagram profile is discussed and how Kerimcan Durmaz performs his self-presentation is discussed. In this context, how the self-presentation from Instagram, one of the social media tools, is manifested on the social level. In order to understand digital societies, it is necessary to understand the developments taking place within. In this respect, the conceptions of the concept of self on the social sciences level, the concept of social media in digital society, its tools and features are discussed and explained. The social dimension of Kerimcan Durmaz's self-presentation through Instagram posts, which is taken as a sample here, is important for understanding the change in digital society. Thus, the transformation of self-perception in digital societies will be made meaningful through content analysis and semiotics within the framework of Goffman's theory of dramaturgy.
