Afrahat'ın Beşinci İspatı

Abstract

Tezimiz, "Afrahat'ın (Savaşlar Hakkındaki) Beşinci İspatı" çerçevesinde ele alınacağından, Afrahat'ın (270-345) yaşadığı yüzyıldaki siyasî ve dinî yapı incelenmiştir. Özellikle, Afrahat ve İspatlar isimli hacimli eserinden biri olan "Beşinci İspat"ı Türkçeye tercüme etmek ve literatüre kazandırmak hedeflenmiştir. Bu konuyla ilgili ülkemizde ulaşabildiğimiz herhangi bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Afrahat'ın yirmi üç eseri, Süryani İncil metinlerinin tarihini, tefsirini ve biraz da kristolojisini konu aldığı için Süryani literatürü açısından klasik dönemin başlangıcını temsil eder. Ayrıca İspatlar'ın ilk onu, Hristiyanların temel inanç prensiplerini ve yapmaları gereken sorumlulukları konu alır. Diğerleri ise Yahudilikle ilgili olup Hristiyanlar arasındaki Yahudilik eğilimleri ile mücadele etmeyi konu edinir. Dönemin siyasî olaylarından bahsederken bu olaylara Allah'tan başka kimsenin müdahale edemeyeceğini vurgular. Bu konu hakkında da sadece Tevrat'ı kaynak olarak gösterir. Ayrıca Daniel kitabında bahsi geçen heykel ve hayvanlar hakkındaki misalleri Ortadoğu'nun özeti olarak vermekte bir sakınca görmez. İspatımızın temel konusu birbirlerine karşı büyüklük taslayanların elbet bir gün cezasını çekeceği üzerinedir. Tezimizin Giriş kısmında, araştırmamızın amacının ve sınırlarının ne olduğu üzerinde durulmuştur. vi Birinci Bölüm'de, Afrahat'ın yaşadığı dönem itibari ile Mezopotamya'nın siyasî ve dinî yapısı genel hatlarıyla incelenmiştir. Afrahat'ın kim olduğu, İspatlar'ının başlıkları, Beşinci İspat'ın özeti verilerek genel bir değerlendirme yapıldıktan sonra sonlandırılmıştır. İkinci Bölüm'de, Savaşlar Hakkındaki İspat'ın tercüme metni ile tercümede geçen şahıslar, yerler ve kavramlar hakkında açıklamalar yer almaktadır.

Since our thesis will be considered in the frame of "Aphrahat's Fifth Demonstration (On Wars)", the political and religious structure of that century that Aphrahat (270-345) lived was examined. In particular, it was aimed to translate the "Fifth Demonstration", one of the works of Aphrahat and his Demonstrations. There is no work available on this subject in our country. Twenty-three demonstration of Aphrahat represent the beginning of the classical period in terms of the Syriac literature as it deals with the history, commentary of the Syriac Bible texts. The first group of the Demonstrations also deal with the basic principles of Christians and the responsibilities they must had. Others are related to Judaism and to fighting the tendencies of Judaism among Christians. When talking about the political events of the period, he emphasized that no one but God can intervene in these events. It also refers to the Torah only as a reference on this subject. The essence of the Demonstration is that those who oppose each other will certainly be punished one day. In the introduction of this thesis, we focused on the purpose and limits of our research. In the first chapter, the political and religious structure of Mesopotamia has been examined in general terms as of the period when Aphrahat lived. This was followed by the list of the titles of the Demonstrations, and a general summary of the Fifth Demonstration. In the second part, the reader will find the translation of the Demonstration on Wars, follwed by the explanations about the persons, places and concepts in the translator.
