Muşe Bar Kifo ve " İrade , özgürlük ve doğal afetler " adlı eseri (edisyon kritik - çeviri)

Abstract

Bu tez çalışması; Süryani kaynaklarında da yer edinen ve derin kapsamlı bir konu olan insan ahlakı felsefesi üzerine, Muşe Bar Kifo'nun yorumuyla açıklık getirmektedir. Yazarımız, irade, özgürlük, baht/kader, iyilik, kötülük, doğal afetler, ecel ve ölüm gibi konuları mensubu olduğu inanç gereği Eski Ahit'ten ve Yeni Ahit'ten de örnekler vererek dile getirip savunmakla beraber; bu konuları farklı bir bakış açısıyla yorumlayan kadim paganlara, Süryani Kilisesi tarafından heretik ilan edilen Maniciler ve Mar?iyonculara ve de İslam Kelamcılarına karşı açıklamalarda bulunarak, bir takım eleştiri ve tenkitlerde bulunmaktadır. Muşe Bar Kifo'nun; "İrade, özgürlük ve Doğal Afetler" adlı eseri üzerine yaptığımız tez çalışması giriş, üç bölüm, sonuç ve değerlendirme kısımlarından oluşmaktadır. Tezimizin giriş kısmında; genel anlamda eserin içeriğinden bahsedilmiştir. Birinci Bölümde; Muşe Bar Kifo'nun hayatı ve eserleri kaleme alınmıştır. Devamında üzerinde çalıştığımız yazmanın içeriğinden bahsedilmiştir. İkinci Bölümde; sırasıyla eserin Türkçe Tercümesi, eserin bilgisayar ortamına yeniden aktarımı ve eserin kopyası sayfa numaralarına göre arka arkaya yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü Bölümde; eserin ahlak felsefesi açısından değeri ele alınmıştır. Ardından eserde geçen kavramların Türkçe karşılıklarını veren bir kavramlar sözlüğüne ve bu kavramların metin içerisinde geçen yerlerini gösteren bir indekse yer verilmiştir. Sonuç ve değerlendirme kısmında ise; Türkçeye kazandırılan bu eserin, Süryanice dili açısından yaşanan zorluklarını, metin içeriği itibariyle de felsefi açıdan değeri yorumlanmıştır.

This thesis sheds light on the philosophy of the human ethics, a wide topic which finds its echo also in the Syriac sources, by using the work of Mushe Bar Kipho. The author mentions the subjects like free will, freedom, fortune/destiny, kindness, evil, natural disasters, fate and death by giving examples from the New and Old Testament, as a result of his faith. He also interprets these topics in a different way and makes criticisms and explains them to Manicheans, Marcions who were declared as heretics by the Syrian Orthodox Church and also to Islamic theologians. This thesis on Mushe Bar Kipho's book "Free will, freedom and natural disasters" is composed of an introduction, three chapters, and conclusion and assessment. The introduction defines the content of the thesis. The first chapter is about Mushe Bar Kipho's life and his works. It also introduces the manuscript that we worked on. In the second chapter, we provide the Turkish translation, the digitalised version of the text arranged in the order of the page numbers one after another. In the third chapter, the value of the text in terms of philosophy of ethics is discussed. An index, that includes the Turkish translations of the concepts and their places in the text, follows it. The conclusion and assessment section, comments on the difficulties experienced in the translation to Turkish resulting from the Syriac used in the text and the philosophical value of the content of the text.
