Din felsefesi açısından cennet ve cehennemin imkân ve mahiyeti

Abstract

Bu tezde ölüm sonrasına dair önemli bir konu olan cennet ve cehennemin imkân ve mahiyeti meselesi, mitler, dinler, felsefe ve din felsefesi bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Tez iki bölümden meydana gelmektedir. Tezin birinci bölümünde mitoloji ve dinler ekseninde cennet ve cehennemin mahiyeti ele alınmıştır. Mitoloji ve dinlerde cennet ve cehennemin hangi kavram ve içeriklerle ele alındığı bu bölüm, ikinci bölüm için bir hazırlık niteliğindedir. Tezin ikinci bölümünde din felsefesi açısından cennet ve cehennemin imkân ve mahiyeti çok boyutlu olarak incelenmiştir. Bu noktada cennet ve cehennem kavramları yerine kullanılabilecek ödül ve ceza kavramları da temel referanslar olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bu bölümde cennet ve cehennemin imkân ve mahiyeti; ruh ve beden ilişkileri, kişisel özdeşlik sorunu, Tanrı'nın sıfatları meselesi ve ahlak felsefesi bağlamında ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Bu çerçevede konu, felsefe tarihinin belli başlı filozoflarının yanı sıra modern dönem din felsefecilerinin görüşleri çerçevesinde de tartışılmıştır.

In this thesis, the possibility and nature of heaven and hell, which is an important issue about the afterlife, is discussed in the context of myths, religions, philosophy and philosophy of religion. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part of the thesis, the nature of heaven and hell is discussed in the axis of mythology and religions. This section, in which concepts and contents of heaven and hell are discussed in mythology and religions, is a preparation for the second part. In the second part of the thesis, the possibilities and nature of heaven and hell in terms of philosophy of religion are examined multidimensionally. At this point, the concepts of reward and punishment, which can be used instead of the concepts of heaven and hell, are accepted as basic references. In this section, the possibilities and nature of heaven and hell; soul and body relations, the problem of personal identity, the issue of God's attributes and moral philosophy are discussed in detail. In this context, the subject has been discussed within the framework of the views of the major philosophers of the history of philosophy as well as the philosophers of religion of the modern period.
