Bir şirket kenti olarak TPAO Batman Yerleşkesinin toplumsal-mekânsal okuması

Abstract

Endüstri dönemi sonrasında belirgin bir sınıfa dönüşen "işçi" için, birbirinden farklı ihtiyaçlar ve gerekçeler doğrultusunda çeşitli yaşam alanları üretilmiştir. Bu alanların/mekânların birçoğu kuramsal ve ideolojik altyapısı açısından benzerlikler taşımaktadırlar. Birçok işçi yerleşkesinin amacı, işçinin belirli bir alan içerisinde düzenli, sağlıklı ve konforlu yaşam deneyimi elde ederek işyerindeki verimini arttırmasıdır. Bu bağlamda işçilerin zihinsel ve toplumsal ihtiyaçlarının belirli bir alan içerisinde giderilmesine yönelik yapılanmalardan birisi olarak şirket kentler ele alınmaktadır. İngiltere, Almanya gibi sanayileşmenin başı çektiği ülkelerde şirket kentler, işçilerin temel ihtiyacı olan barınma mekânlarının kentlerde meydana getirdiği krizden sonra oluşturulmaya başlanmıştır. Türkiye'de ise bu yerleşkelerin birçoğu Cumhuriyet sonrasında inşa edildiğinden dolayı çoğunlukla, ideolojik anlamda "ulusun inşası" ile ilişkili biçimde ele alınmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın inceleme alanı olan TPAO Batman Yerleşkesi'nin ise, hammaddenin ve enerji ihtiyacının meydana getirdiği bir şirket kent olarak Türkiye'deki diğer işçi yerleşkeleri örneklerinden ayrıldığı düşünülmektedir. Yerleşkede inşa edilen mekânlar ve bu mekânların kendi içerisindeki sirkülasyonu, şirket kent örnekleri ile benzer unsurlar taşımakla birlikte TPAO, bu mekânlarda meydana gelen toplumsal üretimleri ile benzer uygulamalardan da ayrılmaktadır. Bu tez, toplumsal ve mekânsal oluşumların bir ürünü ve yeni bir alt kültür olarak TPAO yerleşimini ve "TPAO'luluk" durumunu ele almaya çalışacaktır.

In historic process, after the industry period "the workers" had became a significant class, and because of the all different needs and justifications, lots of living places had been built.Many of this places shares the same ideological and theoritic background. The purpose of building the many worker campus areas is to provide a regular,healthy,comfortable living experience for workers in a certain living space and also to increase workplace's productivity.In this sense; the aim of the thesis is aproaching the company towns which are built to supply mental and social needs in the certain living areas. At the most known industry countries such as England,Germany; company towns had been built and they were trying to find a solution for worker's living space crisis and the situation of the towns.In Turkey, these places had been built after the proclamation of the republic so ideologically It's also an important part of the "building of the nation". TPAO Batman campus area which is the main field of this study ,is a company town aimed to supply energy and petrol raw material and It became different from all the other examples. The places had been built in the campus area and the circulation in theirselves, had lots of commons with the other company town samples. However TPAO, became unique because of the applications had been maden and having the social productions as a result of this.This thesis focuses on the TPAO campus area; which is the result of the social and spatial formations and became a new subculture, and also will discuss about "being a TPAO participant"
