Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to examine the unforced errors of Turkish and foreign elite young national badminton players during the competition. In this research, 13 Turkish (age 17,31±0,75) and 14 foreign (age 16,79±0,42) badminton players' matches were analyzed. A total of 48 men's single matches (22 Turkish, 26 foreign) were evaluated for unforced error analysis. Unforced errors were analyzed as an out and net error in the front court, mid court and back corurt areas. Analyzes were made according to the 1st set, 2 nd set, the match and the rounds played (1st round, 2 nd round, 3 rd round and 4 th round). Unforced error data of players were transferred to SPSS 22 package program and minimum, maximum, average and standard deviation values were calculated for descriptive statistics. Mann-Withney U test was used to analyze the difference between the athletes. As a result, it was found that the Turkish players made more out errors in the front court area (p<0,05), while foreign athletes made more out and net errors in the mid court area (p<0,05).
