Yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizm tutumu, turizm gelişim desteği ve öznel iyi oluş ilişkisi: Mardin örneği

Abstract

Turizm faaliyetlerinin yoğun ve kitlesel bir şekilde sürdürülmesinin birçok açıdan olumlu ve olumsuz etkileri bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, insanların hayat işleyişini etkileyen unsurlar, turizm ile ilgili tutumlarını etkilemektedir. Buna dayanarak araştırmanın amacı Türkiye'deki Mardin şehrinde yerel toplumun sürdürülebilir turizme yönelik tutumları, turizmin gelişimine yönelik verdikleri destek ve öznel iyi oluşları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırma nicel bir araştırma olup örneklemi Mardin yerel halkından oluşmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında,14 Nisan 2023 ile25Haziran 2023' arasında Mardin'deki yerel halktan anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Toplam 487 veri analiz edilerek elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçeklerin güvenilirliğini, geçerliliğini ve geliştirilen hipotezleri test etmek amacıyla açımlayıcı faktör analizi, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizm tutumunun hem turizm gelişim desteği üzerinde hem de öznel iyi oluşu üzerinde etkisi olduğu, ancak yerel halkın turizm gelişim desteğinin, yerel halkın öznel iyi oluşu üzerinde eksi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

Intensive and mass tourism activities have positive and negative effects in many aspects. In addition, the factors affecting people's life functioning have impacts on their attitudes towards tourism. Based on this, the aim of the current study is to determine the relationship between the local community's attitudes towards sustainable tourism, their support for tourism development and their subjective well-being in Mardin, Turkey. The study is a quantitative research, and the sample consists of local people in Mardin. Within the scope of the research, between April 14, 2023 and June 25, 2023, data were collected from the local people in Mardin with the survey technique. A total of 487 data were analyzed and the findings were interpreted. Exploratory factor analysis, correlation and regression analyses were conducted to test the reliability and validity of the scales used in the research and the hypotheses developed. As a result of the research, it was determined that the sustainable tourism attitude of local people has an effect on both tourism development support and subjective well-being, but the tourism development support of local people does not have an effect on the subjective well-being of local people.
