    Richard Sennett, who states that the dominant perception of the human body is effective in shaping the spatial organization of cities, examines the reflections of culture, belief, and, power on the urban space through the human body in his book Flesh and Stone. In the book, certain historical periods of the important cities of Western civilization such as Athens, R ome, P aris, V enice, London a nd N ew Y ork w ere discussed i n sections a nd h ow urban space design was shaped by the perception of the human body at the time was explained with a flowing style. The book has the potential to provide a new perspective to our understanding of social projections in spaces while also influencing one's outlook on urban spaces and perception of the city.
