    Master Thesis
Edebîyatê şarî yê Pîranî ser o yew cigêrayîş
(2023) Sert, Mehmet Selim; Kırkan, Ahmet
Piran, has a special place among the districts of Diyarbakir in terms of its culture and history. Today, due to assimilation, the people of Piran are slowly abandoning and forgetting Zazaki. The folklore of Piran suffers the biggest blow from this situation. Folklore products, especially those that are transmitted orally, are being erased and lost from the memory of the people of Piran day by day. Those that are transmitted through behavior, on the other hand, are unable to preserve their place among the people and disappear in the face of modernity and the power of time. The main purpose of this study is to take a photograph of Piran's folklore. For this purpose, we visited about twelve villages of Piran and used the fieldwork method. In this method, we recorded our conversations with the people we talked to and then transcribed these records. In addition to this method, we also used digital materials such as Youtube videos. It has been understood with this study that there is still a rich folk literature in Piran district and detailed scientific studies should be carried out in this field.
