Editorial Editorial: Anxiety, burnout, and stress among healthcare professionals(Frontiers, 2023) Bayram Değer, VasfiyeThe technology, informatics and social fields are experiencing continuous changes and developments day by day. Such changes and developments influence human life and expand the fields of research. One of these fields is the world of work life. Work life is an area where people spend a significant part of their lives by spending time and effort. The willingness of employees to make quality use of their time and labor significantly affects the efficiency obtained as a result of their work (Burton, 2010). The nature of the work requirements and the quantity of communication with other people in the workplace create challenging situations for employees. In this context, when it comes to health in work life, health workers are seen as an important sample group in terms of researching variables in work life, since their field requires qualified labor force, is vital and is a profession that constantly involves face-to-face interaction with people. The health sector is one of the sectors where employees have the most difficulties due to various factors. The health sector differs from other working environments due to the difficulty of serving patients with severe stress and the fact that employees in this sector often face stressful situations in their daily working environment.Book Review Natural phytotherapeutic antioxidants in the treatment of mercury intoxication-A review(Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, 2018) Unsal V.Heavy metals taken into the organism can make the toxic effects on the metabolism in various ways. For example, they may interact with proteins to alter and inhibit their enzymatic and structural functions. Mercury is one of the toxic elements that are widely distributed in nature. Mercury toxicity poses a serious threat to human health. It is an element that causes oxidative stress to increase in individuals, leading to tissue damage. Oxidative stress is the result of the imbalance between the production of oxidative species and cellular antioxidant defense. Phytotherapy continues to play an important role in health care. Natural phytotherapeutic antioxidants, exhibit a broad sequence of biological impacts, including anti-oxidative stress, anti-aging, anti-toxicicity and anticancer. Many studies have also shown that the phytotherapeutic agents play an important role in the removal of mercury from the tissue and in reducing oxidative stress. Our goal in this review was to investigate alternative ways of extracting the mercury in the tissue. © 2018 The Authors.Book Review Seven-membered Rings with Three Heteroatoms: Chemistry of 1,2,5-and 1,4,5-Thiadiazepines(BENTHAM SCIENCE PUBL LTD, 2018) Doğru Mert, Başak; Elattar, Khaled M.This review describes the chemistry of 1,2,5- and 1,4,5- thiadiazepines. The investigated heterocycles are monocyclic and fused 1,2,5- and 1,4,5- thiadiazepines. The different sections cover: structural elucidation "spectroscopy", reactivity of substituents attached to ring carbon and nitrogen atoms, synthesis of monocyclic and fused heterocycles incorporated 1,2,5- and 1,4,5- thiadiazepine moiety. Nitrogen and sulfur atoms of thiadiazepine ring system have the ability to donate the electrons pairs in order to form coordination bonds forming different complexes. The aim of this review is to discuss the chemistry of title compounds up till now. The reaction mechanisms are described and discussed, as well as, the biological applications of the target compounds.
