| gperson.biography | Cenk Babayiğit 1994 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden “Tıp Doktoru” ünvanı ile mezun oldu. Mezuniyetinden sonra 1 yıllık mecburi devlet hizmetini tamamlayıp Ocak 1996’da Dicle Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Göğüs Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalında tıpta uzmanlık eğitimine başladı. Tıpta uzmanlık eğitimini Nisan 2000’de tamamlayarak Göğüs Hastalıkları Uzmanı oldu. Aralık 2000 Sosyal Sigortalar Kurumu Hatay Hastanesinde Göğüs Hastalıkları Uzmanı olarak göreve başladı ve bu görevini Ekim 2002’ye kadar sürdürdü. 2002’de Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi’nin yeni kurulmakta olan Tıp Fakültesinin Göğüs Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalına “Yardımcı Doçent” ünvanı ile atandı ve Anabilim Dalının kurucu başkanı olarak görev yaptı. Aynı Anabilim Dalında 2015’de Doçent oldu, 2022 yılında Profesör kadrosuna atandı. 2023’de Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Göğüs Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı’na Profesör olarak atandı ve Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı görevine getirildi. Halen aynı Anabilim Dalının Başkanı olarak öğretim üyeliği görevini sürdürmektedir. Aynı zamanda Mardin Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Göğüs Hastalıkları Kliniğinde “Eğitim Sorumlusu” olarak da görev yapmaktadır. Uluslararası ve ulusal düzeyde yayınlanmış çok sayıda araştırma makalesi olup Solunum Sistemi Enfeksiyonları, Pulmoner Hipertansiyon, Çevresel Akciğer Hastalıkları, Kronik Obstruktif Akciğer Hastalığı ve Astım ilgi alanlarıdır. İyi derecede İngilizce bilmektedir. | |
| gperson.biography | Cenk Babayiğit graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 with the title of Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, he completed his one-year compulsory state service and, in January 1996, commenced his residency training in the Department of Respiratory Diseases at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine. He successfully completed his residency in April 2000, obtaining the specialization title of Pulmonologist. In December 2000, he began working as a Pulmonologist at the Social Insurance Institution Hatay Hospital, where he served until October 2002. In the same year, he was appointed as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the newly established Department of Respiratory Diseases at Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Medicine, serving as the founding chair of the department. Within the same department, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine in 2015 and subsequently appointed to the rank of Professor of Medicine in 2022. In 2023, he joined Mardin Artuklu University Faculty of Medicine as a Professor in the Department of Respiraory Diseases and was appointed as Chair of the Department, a position he continues to hold. He also serves as the Educational Supervisor at the Pulmonology Clinic of Mardin Training and Research Hospital. Professor Babayiğit has authored numerous research articles published in both national and international journals. His primary fields of interest include respiratory system infections, pulmonary hypertension, environmental lung diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and asthma.
