    Savur İlçesi’nin Cumhuriyet Dönemi Nüfus Gelişimi ve Nüfusun Özellikleri

    Çalışmamızda, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinin Dicle bölümünde yer alan ve idari olarak Mardin iline bağlı Savur İlçesi’nin nüfus gelişimi ve özellikleri ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmamızın amacı Savur İlçesi’nde Cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan günümüze kadar ilçedeki nüfusun değişim seyrini, kır-şehir nüfusunun yıllara göre artış azalışını, nüfus artış hızını ve nüfusun yaş, eğitim ve ekonomik bağımlılık durumu gibi sosyo-ekonomik özelliklerini sayım yapılan yıllara göre ortaya koymaktır. TÜİK’den alınan nicel verilerle ilçenin demografik yapısı tablo ve grafiklerle görselleştirilip yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmamızda nüfusun tarihsel süreç içerisinde değişimi ve nüfusun nitelikleri üzerinde durularak gelecekte yapılacak planlamalara ışık tutmak ve ilçenin gelişmesini sağlamak amaçlanmıştır. Savur’da 2020 yılı itibariyle nüfus miktarı 26101’dir. 1950 yılında 40.876 olan nüfus miktarı bu tarihten itibaren azalmıştır. 1953 yılında Savur’a bağlı Ömerli’ nin ilçe olması nedeniyle nüfus miktarı azalmış ayrıca Mardin-Şırnak-Irak karayolu güzergahının değişmesi ile ilçe eski merkezi konumunu ve stratejik özelliğini kaybetmiştir. 1985 sonrasında yaşanan terör olayları ve ekonomik faaliyetlerin yetersizliği de büyükşehirlere yapılan göçleri hızlandırmış ve nüfusun azalmasına neden olmuştur. Nüfusun sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri 1985-2020 yılları arasında kıyaslama yapılarak incelenmiştir. 35 yıllık süreçte nüfusun yaş yapısı incelendiğinde çocuk nüfus oranı %51’den %30’a düşmüştür, yaşlı nüfus oranı ise%4’lerden %10’lara yükselmiştir. Bu durum nüfus artış hızının düştüğünü ve buna bağlı olarak bağımlı nüfusun toplam nüfus içindeki payının azaldığını göstermektedir. Cinsiyet oranına bakıldığında kadınların sayıca biraz daha fazla olduğu görülmektedir. Eğitim seviyesinde bitirilen eğitim durumuna göre lise ve yükseköğretim mezunlarının sayısının 2020 yılı itibariyle artış gösterdiği belirlenmiştir, okur-yazarlık oranı %40,6’dan %87,6’ya yükselmiştir. Savur’da kırsal nüfus günümüze kadar miktar olarak şehir nüfusunun üzerinde seyretmiştir. Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarından günümüze kadar ilçe nüfus miktarı azalmış fakat nüfusun niteliklerinde olumlu gelişmeler görülmüştür. İlçe nüfusunun artması ve ilçenin daha fazla gelişebilmesi için dışarıya göçün engellenmesi ve özellikle tarım ve turizm alanında var olan ekonomik potansiyelin girişimlerle desteklenmesi gerekmektedir. Nüfusun değişim seyrini izlemek ve nüfusun nitelikleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak ilçenin gelişmesini de sağlayacaktır.

    Coğrafi Bilgi Sistem Analizleri Kullanılarak Toprak ve Arazi Özelliklerinin Değerlendirilmesi: Türkiye, Mardin İli Arazisi

    The purpose of the present study is to determine the soil and land characteristics and create databases by using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). For this purpose, the soil and land characteristics of Mardin Province, which is located in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey, which is part of so-called “Fertile Crescent” with fertile agricultural lands, were evaluated. The area that was included in the study was approximately 8633 km2, and the digital height model of the area was created by using the topography maps of Mardin Province. With the creation of these maps, the slope, aspect, elevation, relief maps, and the data created by the General Directorate of Village Services were collected and were drawn on the maps by calculating the spatial and areal rates of the area features in the GIS environment. All the maps drawn were placed on the created digital elevation map and examined and interpreted together with the topography data.. According to the data obtained as a result of the study, it was determined that 47.54% of the total area of Mardin Province has less than 6% slope values, and these areas are located mostly in the southern regions of the province. The most common soil types in Mardin province are brown forest soils with 43.65% and reddish-brown soils with 42.57%. In terms of the land usage, 38.81% of the province consists of pastures, and 25.38% consists of the shrubs. In terms of erosion, it was determined that 74.35% of the province has moderate, severe and very severe erosion risk. A total of 28.89% of the study area consists of I., II. and III. classes according to land capability. In terms of soil depth, 43.13% of the province has been found to have very shallow and shallow soil characteristics. It is determined that the lands where agricultural production is intensive in Mardin are mostly concentrated in regions with low altitude and slope values. It has been determined that the water problem in the region creates limitations in the product variety and erosion is among the most serious problems of the region. Elimination of these problems will contribute positively to the agricultural production of the region.
