Arthur Schopenhauer'ın felsefesinde ölüm temasının analizi

Abstract

Schopenhauer'ın düşünce sisteminin merkezinde yer alan kavram isteme kavramıdır. İsteme kavramı nesneye yöneldiği zaman, nesneyi öznenin tasarımı olarak ve özne için var eder. Yani kısacası var olan her şey özne için ve tasarım olarak var olur. Schopenhauer'ın felsefesinde isteme kavramı yöneldiği nesneleri öznenin istemesiymiş gibi gösterir, özne arzulanan şeye ulaştığı zaman arzuladığı şeyden beklediği mutluluğu bulamaz bunun temel nedeni türün istemesine yönelik eylemde bulunmasıdır. Bu türün bireyi yanıltmasından kaynaklı bir şeydir. Schopenhauer bütün bunlara dayanarak dünyada birey için mutluluğun mümkün olmadığını söyler, bundan dolayı da bireyin yapması gereken şey istemeyi yadsımaktır. Hayat acı ve ısdıraplarla dolu bir yerdir. Aynı zamanda Schopenhauer bireydeki yaşama istencinin sebep olduğu ölüm korkusunun gereksiz olduğunu söyler. Kişi yaşama istencini yadsıyarak ölüm korkusuyla başa çıkabilir. Çalışmadaki temel amaç Schopenhauer'ın da dediği gibi ölüm korkusunun yersiz bir korku olduğunu vurgulamaktır. Bu çalışmayı yürütürken Schopenhauer felsefesinde yer alan temel ve önemli noktalara değinilerek ölüm konusu için hazırlık yapıldı ve daha sonra Schopenhauer felsefesinde ölüm konusu ele alınıp değerlendirildi.

The term lying in the center of Schopenhauer's thinking system is the term willing. When the term willing is directed to the object, it brings the object into existence as the design of the subject and also for the subject. In short, everything that comes into existence exists for the subject and exists as a design. According to Schopenhauer's philosophy, the term willing designates the objects towards which it is oriented as the will of the subject. However, the subject cannot find the happiness that it expects to get in the object it desires to have when the subject attains the object it desires. The main reason for this is that the species takes action in accordance with its will. It is something that is caused by misleading of the individual by the species. Based on all these facts, Schopenhauer argues that happiness is not possible for the individual in the world, so what the individual has to do is to deny the will as life is a place full of pain and misery. In addition to that, Schopenhauer claims that the fear of death in the individual stemming from the will to survive is unnecessary. The individual can cope with the fear of death by denying his/her will to survive. The main purpose of this study is to emphasize that -as also Schopenhauer stated- the fear of death is an unreasonable fear. While conducting this study, preparation for the issue of death was made by referring to the basic and significant points in Schopenhauer's philosophy, and afterwards, the issue of death within Schopenhauer's philosophy was examained and analyzed.
