1930 Öncesi Bakhtin Çevresi Estetiğinde Form ve İçerik

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bakhtin Çevresi düşünürlerinin Rus Formalistleri sonrası form ve içerik unsurlarını tekrar ele alış biçiminin ana hatlarını serimlemektir. Formalistler herhangi bir estetik kuram ortaya koymamış ve özel bir metodoloji geliştirmek için çabalamamışlardır. Onlar edebiyat alanını genel estetikten soyutlayarak başlı başına "edebilik" konusu ile ilgilenmişlerdir. Bakhtin, Voloşinov ve Medvedev'in özel olarak ilgilendiği form sorunsalı ise, Formalistlerin aksine, felsefi estetikle ilişkilendirilen bir içerik estetiği üzerinden yeniden ele alınır. Bakhtin Çevresi'ne göre form, bireysel bir girişimin ürünü olmaktan büsbütün uzak bir biçimde, belirli sosyolojik amaç ve yönelimler ışığında belirlenen toplumsal-tarihsel bir üründür. Bu yaklaşım, estetik form sorunsalını bilgi sosyolojisinin bir konusu haline getirirken, aynı zamanda edebiyat, estetik ve kültür alanlarını tarihsel ve toplumsal pratikle yeniden ilişkilendirecek bütünlüklü bir estetik kuram fikrinin çekirdeğini oluşturur. Biz bu çalışmada Bakhtin tarafından 1930 sonrasında geliştirilecek olan bu kuramın erken uğraklarını ve bu uğraklar içerisinde form ve içerik unsurlarının ilişkisini ele alacağız.

The aim of this paper is to expose the main lines of the Bakhtin Circle's understanding of form and content after Russian Formalists. Russian Formalists did neither suggest an aesthetic theory nor developed a methodology. They isolated literature from general aesthetics and concerned themselves with "literariness" per se. Bakhtin, Voloshinov and Medvedev, in contrast to Russian Formalists, approach the problem of form through a content aesthetics linked to the philosophical aesthetics. According to the Bakhtin Circle, a form can not be taken as an individual product, but should be taken as a socio-historical product determined by sociological objectives and intentions. This approach not only turns the problem of aesthetic form into a subject of sociology of knowledge, but also originates the core of an aesthetic theory which correlates literature, aesthetics and culture with historical and social practice. In this paper, the earlier moments of this theory -which will be improved by Bakhtin after 1930's- and the elements of form and content in these moments will be examined.
