Abstract
Nasturi Kilisesinin patriklik merkezi, 16. yüzyılın
başlarından itibaren Osmanlı Devleti’nin hâkimiyet
sahasında yer almaya başlamıştır. Katolik
The patriarchate center of the Nestorian Church began to take place under the rule of the Ottoman Empire from the beginning of the 16th century. Nestorian patriarchs with the title of Mar Şimun, together with the split in the church as a result of the intervention of Catholic missionaries, first settled in Diyarbakır, then the Mar Yakup Monastery in Siirt, and from the beginning of the 17th century, the village of Koçanis, which is located near today's Hakkari city center, as a permanent residence until the beginning of the 20th century. started to use it. Although it had been under the rule of the Ottoman Empire for almost three centuries, the level of relations between the Hakkari Nestorian Church and its members, the Nestorians of Hakkari, with the Ottoman central authority in the context of the millet system is a controversial topic in the literature. The aim of this study is to clarify the relations of the Nestorians of Hakkari with the Ottoman central authority and the discussions on the subject through Ottoman archive documents
