Abstract
This study is about the life and works of Ahmad b. Mohammad al Maqqari, a North African literary writer, scholar and hadith narrator, and philosophical accumulation in his famous work Nafh at Tıb. In this direction, this study consists of two main chapters. In the first chapter, Maqqari's life, scientific journeys and works are discussed. Then, Nafh at Tıb, the main source in our study, is briefly introduced, and its copies, editions and its importance in Islamic thought are stated. In the second chapter, the philosophical accumulation in Andalusia was examined within the framework of philosophers, mystics and theologians (mutakallim) in the context of the work Nafh at Tıb. In this section, after briefly introducing the Andalusian philosophers, mystics and thinkers dealing with theology, Makkarî's words, comments and quotes about their scientific, philosophical and intellectual aspects are stated. Thus, it is aimed to reveal the philosophical accumulation in Andalusia from Makkarî's perspective.
