18. yüzyılda Diyarbekir'de dini hayat ve kurumlar(1732-1747)

Abstract

Din Ortadoğu'da sosyo-kültürel yapının şekillenmesi üzerinde son derece etkili bir dinamiktir. Esasen bu sadece Ortadoğu'nun değil, doğu kültürlerinin tamamı için geçerli bir tespittir. Dinler yerleştikleri coğrafyalarda gerek devletlerarası diplomasiyi, gerekse sosyolojik açıdan insan ilişkilerini etkilemektedir. Öyle ki dinlerin ortaya çıktığı, medeniyetin doğup uzun süre olgunlaştığı Ön Asya ve Mezopotamya toprakları, günümüzde dahi tartışma ve çatışmaların odak noktasındadır. Ortadoğu halklarının omzuna aldığı bu hassas mirasın sistemleştirilerek sürekli gündemde tutulması ve bölgeye hükmetmenin yolu olması nedeniyle din, daha uzun yıllar üzerine araştırmalar yapılabilecek tarihsel bir olgudur. Dinin bölge üzerindeki etkisi için yazılanlar XVIII. yüzyıl Diyarbekir'i içinde geçerlidir. Zira Diyarbekir bu tarihte henüz dinsel ve sosyolojik dönüşümünü sağlayamamış, XVIII. yüzyılda aldığı ve verdiği göçler, yaşadığı kıtlık ve doğal afetlerle Osmanlı Devleti'nin iktisadi ve idari anlamda gerileyişinden nasibini almıştır. Bu yüzyılda şehre gelen seyyahların seyahatnameleri, XVIII. yüzyıl Diyarbakır Şer'iyye Sicilleri ile yapılan araştırmalar, yüzyılın sonuna kadar da kentin çok inançlı ve çok dilli kültürel dokusunu koruduğunu ancak buna rağmen gelecekte kozmopolit yapısını koruyamayacağını ispat etmiştir.
