Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri ve Mesleki Yetkileriyle İlgili Algılarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırmada, ebelerin profesyonel değerleri ve mesleki yetkileriyle ilgili algılarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel-analitik tiptedir. Araştırma verileri 05.05.2021-31.07.2021 tarihleri arasında web tabanlı veri toplama yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmış, araştırma örneklemini 209 ebe oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verileri “Ebe Tanıtım Formu”, “Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerler Ölçeği” ve “Ebelik Mesleğinin Yetkileri ile İlgili Algı Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerler Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 130,36±17,67, Ebelik Mesleğinin Yetkileri ile İlgili Algı Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması ise 66,88±8,97 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçeklerin birbiri ile ilişkilerinin bakıldığı korelasyon analizinde, ebelerin profesyonel değerleri artıkça ebelik mesleğinin yetkileri ile ilgili algılarının da arttığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca mesleği isteyerek tercih etme ve çalışma zamanı ile ebelik mesleğinin yetkileri ile ilgili algı arasında anlamlı fark olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Araştırmada ebelerin yüksek düzeyde profesyonellik değerine ve orta düzeyde mesleki yetkinliklerinde algıya sahip oldukları, uzun süre meslekte çalışma durumunun profesyonel değer ve mesleki yetkinlik algıları üzerine olumlu yönde etki sağladığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Aims: In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the perceptions of midwives about their professional values and professional authority. Methods: It’s a cross sectional-analytical research. The research data were collected by using web based data collection method between 05.05.2021 and 31.07.2021, and the research sample consisted of 209 midwives. Research data were collected using the “Midwife Information Form”, “Midwife’s Professional Values Scale” and “Perception Scale Regarding the Competences of the Midwifery Profession”. Results: The total mean score of the Midwives’ Professional Values Scale was 130.36 ± 17.67, and the total mean score of the Perception Scale Regarding the Competences of the Midwifery Profession was 66.88 ± 8.97. In the correlation analysis, in which the relationships between the scales were examined, it was concluded that as the professional values of the midwives increased, their perceptions of the midwifery profession’s powers also increased. In addition, it has been determined that there is a significant difference between the perception of willingly choosing the profession and working time and the authorities of the midwifery profession. Conclusion: In the study, it was concluded that midwives have a high level of professionalism and a medium level of perception of professional competencies, and the fact that they work in the profession for a long time has a positive effect on their perceptions of professional value and professional competence.
