Abstract

The Syrian national delegation went to Paris to negotiate with the French on the Treaty of Independence, and an agreement was reached between Syria and France on the 1936 treaty, which provided for the abolition of the French Mandate and Syria's independence and territorial integrity. He then called for parliamentary elections and the National Bloc won a majority in the Parliament,
