As known, the ergativity is an important feature in the dialects of Kurmanci and Zazaki. How is the feature used in both dialects? How do the Kurmancs and Zazas express themselves in terms of ergativity? What is the relationship between the subject and object and how is this relation changed according to the tenses? This paper will deal with these issues. As far as I know, there are few studies on these issues up to now. We can also say that there are not the studies like this. Of course, there are some studies on ergativity especially in Kurmanci but the ergativity has not been examined in terms of self-expression. We will focus on the usage of ergativity in both Kurmanci and Zazaki and compare the ergativity in both dialects.
