| gperson.biography | Dr. Mehmet Cihan YAVAŞ, 2006 yılında Dicle Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümü'nden mezun oldu, 2010 yılında Biyofizik alanında yüksek lisans, 2015 yılında ise Biyofizik Doktora derecesi aldı. Dr. Yavaş, Biyofizik, DNA hasarı, elektromanyetik alanlar, radyofrekans alanlar ve biyolojik etkileri, antioksidan, oksidatif stres, çevresel kirleticiler alanında uzmandır. Bilim insanı, 2018 yılında Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde Dr.Öğr.Üyesi olarak göreve başlamış olup, Biyofizik AD kurucu başkanlığını yapmıştır. Bulunduğu süre içerisinde birçok kurul ve komisyonda görev almıştır. 31.05.2021 yılında Doçent unvanını, 20.10.2021 tarihinde ise doçentlik sözlü sınavını başarı ile vermiştir. 03.11.2022 tarihinde ise Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Biyofizik Anabilim dalını kurmuş ve burada halen Doç.Dr. unvanı ile görev yapmaktadır. Tıp Fakültesinin kuruluş süresinde görev alan Yavaş, Tıp fakültesi Baş koordinatör görevinde bulunarak müfredat sürecinde katkı sunmuş, Ders kurulu başkanlığı, Dönem koordinatörlüğü, Müfredat komisyonu, Yatay geçiş ve intibak komisyonu, birim strateji komisyonu ve Rektörlük Akademik Teşvik, Düzenleme, Denetleme ve İtiraz komisyonunda aktif görev almıştır. Dr. Yavaş, 30 dan fazla yayınlanmış makalesi, 26 dan fazla bildirisi, birçok kitap bölümü, bap projeleri, Tübitak bilim söyleşileri dergilerde alan editörlüğü ve birçok ulusal ve uluslararası dergide hakemliği bulunmaktadır. | gperson.biography | Dr. Mehmet Cihan YAVAŞ graduated from the Department of Biology at Dicle University, Faculty of Science in 2006. He received his MSc in Biophysics in 2010, and his PhD in Biophysics in 2015. Dr. Yavaş is an expert in the fields of biophysics, DNA damage, electromagnetic fields, radiofrequency fields and their biological effects, antioxidants, oxidative stress, and environmental pollutants. The scientist started working as an assistant professor at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Medicine in 2018 and served as the founding head of the Department of Biophysics. During his time there, he served on many boards and commissions. He received the title of Associate Professor on May 31, 2021, and successfully passed the associate professor oral exam on October 20, 2021. On November 3, 2022, he founded the Department of Biophysics at Mardin Artuklu University, Faculty of Medicine, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor. Dr. Yavaş, who was involved in the founding of the Faculty of Medicine, served as the School of Medicine's Chief Coordinator, contributing to the curriculum process. He has actively served as Course Board Chair, Term Coordinator, Curriculum Committee, Horizontal Transfer and Adaptation Committee, Unit Strategy Committee, and the Rectorate Academic Incentive, Regulation, Supervision, and Objections Committee. Dr. Yavaş has published over 30 articles, 26 presentations, numerous book chapters, chapter projects, field editorships in TÜBİTAK science talks, and reviewers for numerous national and international journals.
