| person.biography | Ahmet Selçukoğlu, Şanlıurfa doğumlu. 2012 yılında Fırat Üniversitesi’nde sunduğu Bizans İmparatorluğu Döneminde Nusaybin’in Siyasi, Sosyal, İktisadi, Mimari ve Kültürel Durumu (IV.-X. Yüzyıl) başlıklı teziyle doktor unvanını aldıktan sonra 2013’te Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Tarih Bölümü Orta Çağ anabilim dalına öğretim üyesi olarak atandı. 2024’te Profesörlük unvanı almaya hak kazanan yazar, halen Artuklu Üniversitesi’nde görev yapmaktadır. Akademik çalışmaları genel olarak Orta Çağ’ın sosyo-kültürel belleği, devlet geleneği, kadim şehirleri, Bizans, Selçuklu ve Moğol tarihi alanlarında kümelenir. | |
| person.biography | Ahmet Selçukoğlu was born in Şanlıurfa. In 2012 he received his doctorate degree with his thesis titled “Political, Social, Economic, Architectural and Cultural Situation of Nisibis During the Byzantine Empire Period (IV-X Century)” which he presented at Fırat University. In 2013, he was appointed as a lecturer at Mardin Artuklu University, Department of History, Department of Middle Ages. He received the title of Professor in 2024. He currently works at Artuklu University. His academic studies are generally clustered in the fields of socio-cultural memory of the Middle Ages, state tradition, ancient cities, Byzantine, Seljuk and Mongol history. | en_US |
