Abstract

Küreselle ş me, bilgi teknolojilerindeki h ızlı geli şim ve ekonomik yapıdaki hı zlı de ğ işimlerle birlikte ülke sın ırları nı n gittikçe de ğ er kaybettiğ i bir dönemde kentsel rekabetin önemini ortaya ç ıkarm ış tır. Kentlerin birbirleriyle rekabet edip etmedikleri dünya çapı nda devam eden bir tartışma olmas ına rağ men, kent rekabetçiliğ i kentler arasında yeni bir rekabet formu olu şturmaktad ı r. Kentler rekabet güçlerini artırmak için birbirleriyle yarışı rlar. Kent rekabetçiliğ i; kentsel bir bölgenin diğ er kentsel bölgelerle karş ılaş tırıldı ğ ında daha iyi de ğerlere sahip olması olarak tanı mlanmaktad ır. With globalization, the rapid development of information technologies and the rapid changes in the economic structure, the country’s borders at a time increasingly depreciate and the importance of city competitiveness reveals. Although it is an ongoing debate around the world whether cities compete with each other, city competitiveness is a new form of competitiveness. Cities compete with each other to increase their competitiveness. City competitiveness is defined as having better values compared to other cities. In this study, a new form of competitiveness called city competitiveness is examined.
