Analysis of Diyanet Family Journal in Terms of Religious Education in the Family

Abstract

Araştırmanın temel problemi, Diyanet Aile Dergisi'nin ailede din eğitimi açısından hangi konulara yer verdiğidir. Çalışma, Diyanet Aile Dergisi'ni ailede din eğitimi açısından analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Nitekim bu çalışmada, hem bir aile dergisi olmayı hedefleyen hem de dini nitelik taşıyan Diyanet Aile Dergisi'nin, ailede din eğitiminin hangi temel konularını işlediğinin tespiti söz konusudur. Araştırmanın temel ve alt problemlerine daha net bir cevap bulabilmek için ailede din eğitimi alanı hakkında literatür taraması yapılarak çeşitli kaynaklara ulaşılmış ve tezin temel bölümü olan ailede din eğitiminin ana konuları aktarılmıştır. Daha sonra ise ortaya konulan ailede din eğitiminin temel konuları bağlamında içerik analizi ve doküman incelemesi yöntemlerinden yararlanılarak çeşitli kategoriler belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, araştırmanın objesi olan ve 2019'da bağımsız olarak yayın hayatına başlayan Diyanet Aile Dergisi'nin 2019-2022 yılları arasında yayımlanan toplam 48 sayısı ele alınmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonucunda Diyanet Aile Dergisi'nin ailede din eğitiminde oldukça mühim bir yeri bulunan ailenin kıymetine ve ailenin çocuğuna rol model olduğuna sıkça değinildiği tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında daha birçok kategori üzerinde durulmuştur. Genel olarak, söz konusu derginin ailede din eğitiminin temel konularına sıkça değindiği görülmüştür. Derginin, fertleri sadece ailede din eğitimi açısından bilgilendirmekten ziyade gerek kültürel gerek dini gerekse güncel konularla aileyi geniş bir perspektifte bilgilendirmeyi hedeflediği tespit edilmiştir. Sözgelimi dergide, rol model meselesi her zaman ailede din eğitimi bağlamında ele alınmamış, hayatın her alanında ailenin rol model olduğu üzerinde durulmuştur. Nihayet söz konusu derginin, ailede din eğitimi alanına dair temel konularının üzerinde yeterince durduğu fakat ibadet eğitimi gibi konulara yeterince değinmediği düşünülmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra ailenin tüm fertlerine ulaşmayı hedefleyen derginin yapılan içerik analizi sonucunda çocuklara hitap etmediği gözlemlenmiştir.

The main problem of the research is which topics are covered in the Diyanet Family Magazine in terms of family education. In order to find a clearer answer to the basic and sub-problems of the research, a literature review was conducted on the field of family education, various sources were reached, and the main topics of family education, which is the main section of the thesis, were conveyed. Then, various categories were determined by using content analysis and document review methods in the context of the basic topics of family education presented. In the study, the total of 48 issues published between 2019-2022 of the Diyanet Family Magazine, which is the object of the research and started publishing independently in 2019, were examined. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Diyanet Family Magazine frequently mentioned the importance of the family, which has a very important place in family education, and the family being a role model for the child. In addition, many other categories have been focused on. In general, it has been seen that the magazine frequently mentions the basic topics of family education. It was found that the magazine aims to inform the family with a broad perspective with cultural, religious and current issues, rather than just informing the individuals in terms of family education. For example, in the magazine, the issue of role model has not always been discussed in the context of family education, but the emphasis has been placed on the fact that the family is a role model in all areas of life. Finally, it is thought that the magazine has sufficiently focused on the basic topics of the field of family education, but has not sufficiently touched on issues such as worship education. In addition, it was observed that the magazine, which aims to reach all members of the family, does not appeal to children as a result of the content analysis.
