Ferîdî ve Hâfız Divânı’nın Manzum Tercümesi

Abstract

Klasik Türk Edebiyatında manzum tercümeler mühim bir yer ve dikkate değer yekûn tutar. Ancak mesnevî gibi olay merkezli edebî metinlerin aksine, bir divanın tamamının manzum olarak tercümesi çok rastlanan bir durum değildir. XVIII. yüzyılda yaşadığı düşünülen Ferîdî, Hâfız Dîvânı’nın tamamını manzum olarak tercüme etmiş bir isimdir. Ferîdî’nin, bu müstesna eserini oluştururken Sürûrî, Şem‘î ve Sûdî’nin Hâfız Dîvânı şerhlerinden de istifade ettiği anlaşılmaktadır. Ferîdî’nin yaptığı manzum tercümenin çeviri işlemleri bakımından incelendiği bu çalışma Hâfız gibi bir söz ustasının titizlikle kurduğu anlam ve hayal dünyası ile ortaya çıkan tercüme arasında bir mukayese yapma imkânını sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Yapılan şiir çevirisini betimlerken, şiirin nasıl çevrilmesi gerektiği meselesine katkı sunabileceği ümidindeyiz.

In Classical Turkish Literature, verse translations occupy an important place and a remarkable sum. However, unlike event-centered literary texts such as masnavi, it is not very common to translate an entire divan in verse. Ferîdî, who is probably thought to have lived in the 18th century, is a name who translated the entire Hâfız Dîvân in verse. It is understood that Ferîdî also benefited from the annotations of The Divan of Hâfız by Sürûrî, Şem'î and Sûdî while creating this exceptional work. This study, in which Ferîdî's verse translation is examined in terms of translation processes, aims to provide the opportunity to make a comparison between the meaning and imagination created by a master of words like Hâfız and the resulting translation. While describing the translation of the poem, we hope that it can contribute to the issue of how the poem should be translated.
