Migration Phenomenon: Transforming the Crisis into Opportunities

Abstract

The phenomenon of immigration has become one of the most debated topics of recent years. Generally, the concept of migration which is perceived negatively in the first place, affects social and economic life of both the migrated area and places giving migrants even change it over time. This concept not only expresses human mobility, but also the mobility of the brain and capital migration. The concept of migrated area and places giving migrants come out in immigration case. Migrated places are the most affected places by this movement. Migration areas are generally considered to be adversely affected and it is immediately started to investigate how these adverse events can be reduced. These studies are often precautionary . However, the advantages that the immigration has brought to the public are ignored. For this reason, in this study, it has been attempted to explain how the immigration phenomenon, which is seen as a risk or danger by migrated place, can be transformed into an advantage and richness. The demographic structure of the migrants and the demographic characteristics of the migrated area and the social and economic structure of the migrants are studied and it has been tried to explain how the entrepreneurial workforce, professional skills and capital that migration bring with itself can be assessed.
