Görsel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bağlamında İlkokul Öğrencilerinde Üniversite Farkındalığı Geliştirme: Ana ve Ara Renkler Temelli bir Etkinlik Uygulaması

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to raise the level of awareness of primary school students towards university education through art education. The study group of the research consists of a total of 45 fourth grade students, 23 girls and 22 boys, studying at 18 Mart Primary School in Çanakkale city center. The research was conducted according to the systematic sampling method, which is one of the qualitative research designs and one of the non-selective sampling methods. The data of the study were collected through the activity form prepared by the researcher through face-to-face interviews during three class hours in the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed according to the content analysis method. The coding method was applied by coding each student with a letter and a number. According to the findings obtained within the scope of the research: It was observed that all students had an awareness of the university, female students mostly drew pictures of the universities they wanted to study at, while male students preferred to draw pictures of the universities they designed. It was also observed that students preferred to use blue and green colors the most and purple the least in their drawings: “1) sun, 2) blood - oranges-grapes, 3) sky - grass, 4) sea, 5) eggplant, 6) lemon – carrot - tangerine”. Although all students wrote the story of the pictures they drew, they were weak in expressing their drawings verbally.Bu araştırmanın temel amacı sanat eğitimi yoluyla ilkokul düzeyindeki öğrencilerin üniversite eğitimine yönelik farkındalık düzeyini yükseltmektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Çanakkale il merkezinde bulunan 18 Mart İlkokulunda eğitim gören 23’ü kız 22’si erkek olmak üzere toplam 45 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden olan seçkisiz olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden sistematik örnekleme yöntemine göre yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan etkinlik formu aracılığıyla 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde üç ders saati kapsamında yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde dilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemine göre analiz edilmiştir. Her bir öğrenci bir harf ve bir sayı ile kodlanarak kodlama yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen bulgulara göre: Tüm öğrencilerde üniversiteye ilişkin farkındalık oluştuğu, kız öğrencilerin daha çok okumak istedikleri üniversitelerin resimlerini çizdikleri, erkek öğrencilerin ise tasarladıkları üniversitelerin resimlerini çizmeyi tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin resim çalışmalarında en çok mavi ve yeşil renkleri en az ise mor rengi kullanmayı tercih ettikleri; yine renkleri sırası ile en çok: 1) güneş, 2) kan - portakal - üzüm, 3) gökyüzü - çim, 4) deniz, 5) patlıcan, 6) limon - havuç - mandalina ile ilişkilendirdikleri görülmüştür. Tüm öğrenciler çizdikleri resimlerin hikâyesini yazmalarına karşın çizdikleri resimleri sözel olarak ifade etme noktasında zayıf kaldıkları görülmüştür.
