Abstract
Bu çalışma biyoloji öğrencilerinin laboratuvar güvenliği ve kurallarına uyma konusundaki görüşlerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini Atatürk Üniversitesi eğitim ve fen fakültesine devam eden bütün öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçek iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümünde yer alan 12 madde ile laboratuvar güvenliğine ilişkin görüşler, son bölümünde yer alan 9 soru ile öğrencilerin laboratuvar güvenlik kurallarına uyma hususundaki görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ölçeğin laboratuvar güvenliğine ilişkin görüşleri ölçen bölümünün güvenirliği .72, laboratuvar güvenlik kurallarına uyma hususundaki görüşlere ilişkin ölçeğin güvenirliği .76 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmanın verilerine göre öğrencilerin genel olarak biyoloji laboratuvar güvenliği konusunu önemli buldukları, laboratuvar güvenliği konusunda bilgi sahibi olduklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Bununla birlikte laboratuvar güvenlik kurallarına uyma konusuna dikkatli davranış sergiledikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ancak bu konuda yeterince bilgi sahibi olmadıkları belirlenmiştir
In this study was aimed to investigate biology students' perception regarding laboratory safety and compliance with safety rules. Survey research method was used in this study. Research was conducted with Education and Science Faculty in Atatürk University. In collection of data, laboratory safety, laboratory warning and safety signs scale was used. This scale consists of two parts. First part of scale has 12 items aimed to investigate students' opinions about laboratory safety, and last part has 9 sings to investigate students' perception about compliance with safety rules. Cronbachs alpha was found 0.72 for perception regarding laboratory safety and 0.76. for compliance with safety rules. The research findings showed that biology students' opinions about laboratory safety were positive, and have little knowledge about laboratory safety. In addition, It was determined that students have not knowledge about laboratory first aid and laboratory warning signs
